I haven't had my hair cut for 10 years and it is now down to my bum. Long hair is great, but I do have a few problems. Like windy days - getting hair stuck on my lipstick and then trailing the colour all over my face when I try to get it off. Not a good look!

I also get split ends but have found special split end and frizz-controlling shampoo and conditioner is pretty good (I use Herbal Essences). For anyone with the same problem - don't backcomb your hair! I used to do it quite a bit but it wrecks the ends. For poofier hair, I just bend over so it's hanging down and then put some hairspray on the roots.

I am naturally blond but am thinking of dying my hair black with a dark green stripe. I have never dyed it before as my parents wouldn't let me, so any advice on the subject much appreciated.

An edit to my last post. Since we are talking about hair length I should probably say that I haven't actually measured mine but I am 5'3'' and it is just past the widest bit of my bum. So pretty long I think!

I love long hair. especially on women, the longer the better.
My hair as always been longer, aside from three years. at one point is was to my waist, but now sits to about my nipples, at least my longer pieces do.
I have "anime" hair, bangs with really choppy layers and fringe.
Right now its a dirty blonde, but I am think about dyeing it black.

I used to have bum length hair for many years but cut it for a hawk.
I found that using leave in conditioner with natural oils (like Garnier 72 hour sleek and shine) helped avoid breakage a lot, as do clear henna wax and a wide tooth comb.

My hair is so long I have issues setting on it when I'm trying to setdown. Usually I'll put it up so I don't set on it. About dying my hair will I use to but I got tired of managing it, I've been told I take really good care of my hair though. I use to have it really short plus I got brain surgery in 2010 the Doctors shaved my head, they said I have a beautiful bald head. Hahahahaha! If I didn't have scars I would still have it shaved but nope I'm too self conscious. I also use to be a natural blond but age has set in now I'm black with gray streaks.

I don't mind having long hair plus it's fun to style. :]

I used to have really long hair but due to few health issues I lost most of it, so
I had to cut it really short. Now it's growing back and I'm really happy cause of it. It reaches to my shoulder blades atm. And I have a boyfriend who's got hair twice as long...

We use coconut oil every two days. The only thing you have to do is massage it into your hair and wait about 2 hours (or you can have it over night if your hair is really dry or damaged). Then you just wash it with a shampoo, no conditioner. That's all you need to make you hair really soft and healthy.

I had short hair for yeeeeaaars(shaved and Chelsea cut) and dyed it for years. Finally decided to grow it out a few years ago and no more dying it. I'm very pleased with having long hair.

OOOOOOOOOoooh darling it's DIVINE! <3

I had rather long hair (could sit on it).
Um .. then I broke up with a guy and somehow cut it all off o.O
A bottle of Gin was involved, admittedly I'm lucky to have my ears! LOL
Dunno wtf I was thinking!?
Surely the song says 'I'm gonna wash that man right outta my hair!?'

Anyway, woke looking like GI Jane!

It's fortunately grown back, never seemed to gain that length back tho.
I mean, it's down my back but not seeming to get just as long ..
Maybe an age thing .. cos I am an Ancient lol ...
Moral of this story, don't cut your hair and definitely don't play hairdressers under the influence of Gin

Thank you

I love the red in your hair!

Holy shit i can relate, I played hairdresser under the influence of vodka(w/a friends help, luckily!) That's how i ended up with a shaved head (over a break up, i'm not kidding!) It must've been a mourning thing.

It's taken me nearly 7 years to grow my hair out, without any trims until last year, had an inch taken off to even things out.

I'm glad you didn't cut your ears off

I have blue and green hair that is maybe 5 inches past my shoulders, maybe I can get a pic later. I am always complaining that it grows WAY to fast, it averages about 1 or 2 inches a month!!!

Sigh... Well, here I go. One messy, grainy, poorly lit photograph of my hair. I've been growing it for about a year.
