Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL.

Bauhaus Reunion

Haven't seen this mentioned yet... strikes me as a bit odd actually. (Looks around suspiciously) Their last tour was one of the best shows I've been to and I can only hope for as good from this one. THey have dates up one their rather infrequently updated site that is sporting a decent new look.

They're at the Tabernacle in Atlanta. Is that a big place? Generally a bar? curious. I might get tickets.

I'm going to ATL in Nov to see Depeche Mode at the gwinnett center. It'd definately be cool to see bauhaus.

For anyone in the Washington, D.C. area:
Bauhaus is playing at the Music Center at Strathmore in N. Bethesda. I highly recommend this venue. It's a classy music hall rather than a club. New, clean, good acoustics, and just the right size. You can sit in a nice velvet seat and really enjoy the music.

Saw concert yesterday in Seattle!

I've been a long time fan of Bauhaus, twenty some years, I started listening to them at about age 13! (although I did see Peter once solo) This was the first time I saw them live, tremondous. Listening to their recorded music is one thing, it's a whole other dimension live. It was fantastic to see this legendary band. Peter being his poetic, mysterious self and the band firing on all pistions, intense! I thought the Cure was the best live show I'd seen (or one or two others) but Bauhaus was exhilarating!!
They played all their most popular and a few rarities, all done with artisic flair and a dramatic light show.
Earplugs recommended, I personally found them necessary.
I wouldn't miss it.

Most of set list

I saw Peter solo in the 80s in Chicago, which was also realy impressive, but definitely not the experience of a Bauhaus concert!
Set list of 10/21/05 show, but not in order, only as I remember them.

Burning from the Inside
In the Flatfield
Hollow Hills
Kick in the Eye
Passion of Lovers
Slice of Life
Dark Entires
Telegram Sam
Terror Couple Kill Colonel
Silent Hedges
Rosegarden Funeral of Sores
She's in Parties
Bella

They had about three more which escape me right now, including a quirky dance number where Daniel played sax the whole time (Watch That Grandad Go?) and one in which David played only the open E on bass. Three encores altogether, two of two songs and one of one.

I saw it too! The're not coming here though. But, they are coming a state away...and for Bauhaus I'll do anything to talk my mother into taking me! When I heard this I was a mixture of shock/disbelief/overwhelming happiness. I'm too young to have experienced the glory of good music, so this is such an oppourtunity for me! ^_^ I'm melting inside.
