I'm not fond of any of them actualy. I hate the idea of holding back my first chance at voting by 4 years but I just really hate all the Candidates.

Even Kucinich?
Kucinich is awesome!
He'd get my vote, but I'm certain he has absolutely no chance of winning, so I'd just be wasting my vote.
With the democrats it's either Hillary, Obama, or not being relevant to the electoral process.
I think I'll end up voting for the one of the mentioned that has the most chances of winning. Even if I don't like Hillary and Obama, I'd be trying to keep Giuliani or Romney out of the White House.
But for know, I'm trying to raise consciousness on how much Kucinich kicks ass.

This is going to sound a bit weird, but I want to find out more about both Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul. Neither one are likely to win their respective primaries, but both seem to have a new approach. In some dream world it would be cool to see them kind of unite, despite their obvious differences, on a third party ticket, or have someone pop up that combines the best points of both.

Ron Paul, Ron Paul, Ron Paul!

The only candidate in my book. And I don't at all think it isn't possible for him to win the primary. Which if he does win the primary, IMO, he has the White House over most of the Democrats. He's the only serious anti-war candidate, and the only one you can pull a history of dirt up on. Some of his supporters maybe out there a bit, but the man is a effin' genius on economics, foreign policy and he's the only candidate who has citizens of other nations rallying for his victory.

The US might get some of its respect back from the world.

If there's one thing I want for this country, it's for Ron Paul to be President.

Every Democratic candidate I've seen has sucked - Hilary Clinton, Barrach Obama, John Edward, they're all douches. Most of the Republicans blow as well. Ron Paul is the only candidate who has said or done anything to impress me.

A note on the douchebaggetry of John Edward: I find it funny and a bit sad that the man so badly wants the gay vote, yet he himself does not like gay people. I commend his honesty when he says that he doesn't agree with homosexuality and that he doesn't want gay marriage to be legalized, but honesty shouldn't win the vote when he's biting the hand he wishes would feed him.

Ron Paul = Lazzie-faire* libertarian

Dennis Kucinich = Socialist libertarian

We'd just need someone to keep them from talking economics...

*coughanarchocapitalistcough

SoD, if you have to vote Democrat, please go with Dennis Kucinich. All the others are neoliberal (state-back capitalism, also known as fascism) statist.

I am voting for Dennis Kucinich in the primaries...I don't care if he has no chance of winning!

I'd a-soon vote for the candidate I want to win than settle for the one that will win...

(that being said...if it comes down to it, I'd vote Clinton in to keep Romney/McCain/Giuliani out...)

I'm also supporting Ron Paul and intend to vote for him in the primaries. Even though he won't win, there's a chance we'll send a message to the country's government and populace that Americans who want change, who value liberity and the ideals on which this nation was founded, still exist.

I like Obama, Ron Paul, and Kucinich. That being said Obama is the only one of the group that has a chance.

Also, don't worry about Romney - This latest poll says almost half of America thinks mormons are a cult.

http://pewforum.org/surveys/religionviews07/

Ye can't get elected if half the country thinks yer in a cult.

I don't want to go off-topic, but once September Dawn comes out on video in the next few weeks, that number is going to increase.

Hilary is sucking more and more, and not in a good way. She supports everything bush does. In fact, they are showing how she voted against party lines on almost every vote since she took office, backing bush at every stop. All this and she is the largest democratic recipient of healthcare and big oil lobbying funds.

I'm hoping more people don't back her. She is looking more and more like another candidate that is there to split the democractic vote. I bet if she isn't nominated she pulls a nader and tries to bring down the democratic vote for the repubs.

Jeez, what a mess.

The dynamics of this election may be as important as 1968 meaning the ramification of this choice has the potential to swing for another 40 years. And there is no talent in the pool.

I tend to like Obama and McCain. But Obama's inexperience may transcend his likeability in the end, and Old John is exactly that. Old. Plus I'm not in favor of his policy to "Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran." I think that American Imperialism has gone WAY too far to the end that the country can be seriously wounded by this line of thinking.

Oh, where are the Founding Father's when you need them? Obama may be the closest in plausible political revolutionary spirit. But I think he will be mollified by Mrs. Bill in the end.

Hilary Clinton is ahead in the polls because she is a female, she is getting way to much attention from the media for that and is causing over-hype. Most people who vote don't vote for what the candidates want to change or are in favor of, but instead vote for how popular they are.

Sadly enough, that is true. That being said, look at what happened to ol Howard Dean last time around. One wee incident, which included a mere roar of joy and his campaign went down faster than a two dollar crack h0.

With all the attention around hilary, and all this time before the real elections, there is a good chance she will do the same.

So far, none of the 'real' issues, the 'meat' issues if you will have really been debated on, nor have the candidates had to take any serious stances on anything. So far, we have heard the same 'fluff' every candidate puts out there. Wait until real debates with more direct questions start happening (much closer to the time when they choose a candidate). Hiliary literally supports every measure the bush admin has ever done, and even now is backing bush over her own party on many issues, including the current battle over funds and the withdrawal deadlines.

It doesn't matter how popular she is if it turns out she is really a republican in disguise - her party isn't going to put her forward as an agent of change if she is going against her own party and spreading the message all is well and we should stay on this same course.

I was looking at a poll in a magazine the other day and Hilary is in the lead followed by Obama.

Personally if I was old enough to vote my vote would go to Obama. Hilary will kill this country just like Bush is doing.

Hillary was a Republican before she married Bill. I seem to recall hearing she had something to do with the Nixon administration, though it may have involved her assisting the prosecution of Tricky Dick. I can't remember.

Obama's proposed policies are unrealistic. Bombing Pakistan unilaterally? For all of his big talk on Iraq, that sure seems even more stupid, since Islamabad is a fragile ally. That's where him being green to politics really shows, considering Pakistan is literally one of the most focused-on countries in the world. The last thing that needs to be done is having fundamentalists' positions hardened and a nuclear state put in to further jeopardy.

I'm not really happy with any of the candidates. No one stands out as a clear choice, though I am keeping my eye on Fred Thompson. I can't help but see a parallel between him and Reagan.

I don't like any of 'em! Repooblican or Demi-crat they all strike me as not having anything to say that's in the interest of the American citizen, regardless of their political leanings. ITs all about "what can I say that won't offend anybody in the slightest nor commit to a set direction?"
They just say the canned stuff.
The stuff guaranteed to get the seals to wave their little flags, & slap their flippers, etc.
Even the odd character that might have something interesting to say counters that with an oddball platform point that makes me shiver when I think about their having access to the nuclear football.

Plus the way the American system is set up, absolutely NO attention is being paid to the Independents, the Libertarians, the Greens. Its always "red" or "blue", "patriot" or godless commu...er, I mean "terrorist".

Check Ron Paul out. He speaks English. He says stuff like "I don't mean lower the income tax. I mean abolish the IRS, and replace it with nothing."

Silly people. The Jehovah's Witnesses are more culty.

(No offense to anyone who may be one, but I really do think that people should have blood transfusions if they need them)

If I was American, I'd probably vote for Obama... I guess...

I don't really get the hype for Obama. I mean, yes. He's young, very articulate, and smart. I'll give the man that, but he falls too in line with what everyone else does. He's not for immediate withdrawl of the troops, nor really understands the economy much, though I will say he does know much more than Hillary who thinks money grows on trees.

Immediate withdrawl of the troops would be the worst thing we could do at this point. We are already in far to deep.
