Decorations for purses.
So my parents bought some nice purses for me to use whenever I do go outside with my friends. The thing is, they seem rather dull-looking to me. I want to decorate them with all kinds of flashy stuff, for example some lace, stickers, ect.
If anybody has ever decorated a purse, or owns one that is decorated in a very appealing manner, please do give some options of the decorations.

I've put silver studs and spikes on purses before.

what kind of purses are they? I have found that it is really easy to decorate a cloth (patches are very easy to put on as are most kind of trims) leather ones present a bit more of a challenge

I would probably get the cloth kind. I'm not that comfortable with using leather.
I was thinkning about using glitter, but it probably wouldn't be enough of a decoration.

Sequinns and beads? Old ornate brooches? ,see if you can mutilate , re-work and convert some old earrings into badge/pin type attatchments perhaps? ( thrifts stores are good sources for old jewellery )

zippers are good, my purse has tons of perfectly useless zippers on it, though I bought it like that from zellers or something.

yes, lace is always good. Perhaps you could go look around dollar and craft stores and search for something that catches your eye.

I put safety pins in twp rows and then put lace in between. That was you can take it off whenever you change your mind.

You idiot, Ishkabibble. I will not let you use ANY purses at all while I am here. I do not know how you let our stupid parents buy you that. But you will NOT use them, that is, if you care about my respect and my feelings. No one can make you do anything you do not want to, not even our parents. If you want me to continue to respect you, you will not use them and get rid of them. Otherwise, do what you want, and you will lose my respect. That is all I have to say. Just do not expect me to help you with mom and dad anymore, or see me for advice.

Won't it hurt your parents feelings if you mutilate something they bought for you?

Thank you very much for the ideas. For now I'll just go easy and paste sequins and lace on them.
I hope they do turn out rather eye-catching, and not dull like they used to be.

Now I am on. Can`t you read the post date? Anyways, what I said still stands. It is your choice how our relationship will go from now on. Either you have me as an enemy, or you have mom and dad as enemies. This is for your own good Ishkabibble. You will thank me one day for this.

First thing, I am a girl. I have stuff to carry that doesn't fit in my pockets. Second, stop trolling this thread.
