Who's In For Some Vintage Games?
You know, the ones before 3D came along and made supermario more that the bunch of colourful squares we used to love as children on Playstation 1 or whatever it was. They're great when you're bored and in a little mood for nostalgia. Also when you've never really gotten the hang of the strange 3D war-games, like me. Mwhaha. Enjoy.
I've managed to track down these(get rid of the spaces when you copy-paste, yeah?):

I download a lot, I have a SNES emulator (I still have my SNES but its very hard to find games for it anymore), and I also got a few DOS games like Monkey Island and Indiana Jones And The Fate Of Atlantis.
And I think someone mentioned it before but for those who also loved adventure games, Yahtzee from Zero Punctuation designs them as well, and you can download them from his site, I'd strongly recommend Five Days A Stranger first.

I'm trying to make an adventure game, I got enough practice now to throw one together but I'm completely lost as to what it should be about

Well, not this very second, but you know what I mean.

Envy! My brother has our N64, but I shall reclaim it someday. And he has our Dreamcast Deal was that i got the SNES and the PS2, but he has a N64 at dad's house!
Anyone play The Lion King for SNES? Has to be the most difficult game I ever played. We put it on easy mode and years later we still can't get pass the elephant graveyard.

I had the SNES version. Wasn't any trouble for me. There are some I had difficulty with that others found easy though.
Who else is a fan of Maniac Mansion for the NES? LOVED that one. Played it over and over. That brings back memories. And that Voltaire song "Brains!" reminds me of it with that line "I'm just your average evil meteor from out of the sky."

I can play "Super Mario" on my SNES for hours. Just turn the volume off on the game, turn on some music and I'm in heaven
I did have a N64 that I loved playing "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" and "The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask" on. But my brother broke it

Super Mario is a Nintendo series. The first Sony Playstation wasn't created until the late 90's, well into the era of 3D gaming.
Either you're high, or I'm just a total geek, because I thought that that was fairly common knowledge for anyone who gives more than two shits about video games.

Mid-90's, actually. The PS1 was released in 1994 in Japan and 1995 everywhere else.

Make that three of us. Bet some of these other folks wouldn't remember Atari or Commodore.

My mistake. I was in junior high at the time, so yeah it would've been mid-90's.

Yup, what's not to love? Week-old roast, microwaved hamsters, depressed tentacle monsters with musical aspirations, evil meteors writing memoirs and trying to suck the brains out of blond bimbos, and more for your entertainment.

I got an old 3 GB hard drive from a friend's friend.
It was dying, but when I plugged it into my computer, I was surprised to find that it was loaded with SNES, N64, NES, GameBoy, SEGA
Roms! Along with that, the emulators.
I transfered it all to a good hard drive and I have added to the collection over the years. I play these games with a
Logitec wireless X-Box controller modded to work with a pc.
I just cut the X-Box connector off and soldered a USB cable on then installed some special drivers. Works great! Also, that is the first X-box, not the 360.

You can find thousands of SNES games on eBay for dirt cheap.
I still have my N64 (it's the hideous orange edition) and PlayStation 1, but I don't consider them vintage. The only game that I play on my PS1 is Bust-A-Groove.
