Hello.

I've been a member of this website for months. I finally got around to writing this.
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I'm currently a high school student. I sew, read and spend copious amounts of time on the Internet.

2. Where are you from?

The US of A

3. Who is your favorite author?

Author? I'd have to say the Marquis de Sade because he had the most interesting life and his books are rather wonderful. My favorite books are The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo and The Monk by Matthew Gregory Lewis. I love everything from the Gothic genre. I refuse to read anything written after 1915.

4. What are your favorite films?
V for Vendetta and The Addams Family

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I have no idea. My husband can chose.

6. At your funeral?
Tchaikovsky's Nocturne Op. 19, No. 4. It is a beautiful piece.

7. This IS a Gothic website, so... how do you want to die?

Opium overdose.

8. What kind of casket would you want?

I would prefer to have a pyre or be burned at the stake, Spanish Inquisition style.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Black lace blouse, purple/black corset, purple satin skirt with black lace overlay and matching jewelry.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Not feeling bad about watching cartoons.

11. Who are your favorite musicians?
Emilie Autumn, London After Midnight, Voltaire, Creature Feature, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Evanescence, Asp, Dr. Steel.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I'm in High School now. I plan on going through med school and working in the field of medical research.

13. Why did you join?
I came looking for other people who had read any of the Gothic Romances (like The Castle of Otranto and The Italian). I stayed for the fashion forum.

I think you'll be disappointed to hear that not many of us read gothic literature.

But some of us are still interesting.

No lit beyond 1915? Oooh, you are missing out.

There are several writers today who are just down right amazing.

As a general rule, of nothing beyond 1915, you restrict yourself from some amazing experience or reading.

Your taste in literature is refreshing, though I think your estimation sets the year at which good books ceased to be written a bit too early. Have you ever read/seen "The Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade" (often abbreviated Marat/Sade)? As a Sade fan I think you'd find it enjoyable, it might help you break into the study of 20th century literature.
