New Local D&D Encounters Events

| |

Wizards of the Coast have recently launched a fun new series of sociable Dungeons & Dragons gaming events called D&D Encounters that take place concurrently each Wednesday in local gaming stores all over the country. The current adventure The Story of Evard’s Dark Legacy looks to be a creepy tale of undead invasion. The Wizards of the Coast site even provides a handy store & event finder so that you can find the closest and most convenient location for you to join in. D&D Encounters has been designed to provide short social gaming sessions for people who either don’t have all the time required for a full fledged adventure, or don’t have access to their own gaming group or dedicated creative Dungeon Master. It looks like a fun way to meet some new people, without having to dedicate all your free time to the game.

D&D Encounters is an exciting, weekly campaign that plays out one epic encounter at a time. As you defeat enemies, solve puzzles, finish quests, and perform heroic deeds, you’ll earn Renown Points that you can use to get exclusive rewards. Each session only takes 1-2 hours to play, so it’s easy to fit your game in after school or work. And each week there’s a new and exciting challenge. Jump in anytime!

The Story of Evard’s Dark Legacy
You didn’t go looking for darkness – it found you.

All you wanted was a meal and a bed near the fire in the sleepy little town of Duponde, but you and your allies instead found yourselves entangled in the black tentacles of the long-dead shadow mage Evard. Now you must fight back against the creatures of Darkness, protect the terrified townsfolk, and learn the secrets of the wizard’s curse before the town falls into darkness forever.

Sharpen your weapons and hone your spells – it’s time for you to bring Duponde back into the light.
