Nick Stahl to Play Duncan Locke, Mark Romanek to Direct
Locke and Key is of course based on the comic by Joe Hill. Joe Hill is perhaps best known for being the fruit of Stephen King’s loins, but he is really a very very very talented writer. Some people have genius in their blood, but it is recessive, but Joe Hill has it.
Deadline Hollywood reports that Nick Stahl will be playing Duncan Locke in the upcoming FOX drama Locke and Key. Nick Stahl is perhaps best known for unfortunately substituting for Edward Furlong in the least good Terminator movie. Nick Stahl was great, however, as the yellow goblin in Sin City and, although it is not speculative fiction, he was also good in How to Rob a Bank. So that bodes well for Locke and Key.
Mark Romanek is set to direct at least the pilot of Locke and Key. Mark Romanek is perhaps best known for directing the best Nine Inch Nails videos for “Closer” and “Perfect Drug”. Mark Romanek is pretty much a genius, so there is a lot of talent going into Locke and Key, especially for a network drama. Should be good.
