The Devil Inside (PICS)

| |

The Devil Inside is a horror movie that is to be released in theatres on January 6, 2012. This film has the same raw, uninhibited feeling that other paranormal films, such as “Paranormal Activity”, have employed successfully. This technique is used to bring the viewers into the movie, make it feel as if you are experiencing it along with the characters. Not claiming to be based on true events, the story starts with a woman murdering three people during an exorcism in 1989, the day before Halloween, to be exact. Moving to 2009, her daughter is determined to finally find out what happened with her mother. She attends other exorcisms to try and understand, and to find someone who might be able to help her mother, who has been in a Catholic psychiatric facility in Rome since the murders occurred. Chaos follows, and the audience is left at the end with the last footage from the film crew who accompanied her. The film is done in a documentary style, and some of the people you see in it are not actors, but real workers in various fields such as the health industry. Director William Brent Bell, and his writing partner, Matthew Peterman, teamed up to deliver a film that would be able to stand on its own, and not fall in the footsteps of others before it. Are people ready to experience the truth behind exorcism? Only time will tell.
