A Heart For The Cruel Ruler – Makeup Tutorial
Nikki Paint’s take on the Queen of Hearts is a darker one, with red tones all around her face and lips to match her vibrant hair, and little sparkling bits on her eyes to show a certain divinity attached to her royal status.
Her eyes are adorned by long eyelashes on the lower lid to give her a piercing gaze that constantly reminds you that she is the ruler of everything she surveys, and at the same time it seems to come with the sturdy reminder that you should not be meeting her eyes directly, for that could be disrespectful and dangerous.
Part of her darkness is plain to see, as this Queen of Hearts carries her crown proudly while she displays a single heart in the middle of her chest that’s chained in place. The thing is, the heart is not done in the traditional comic-style you are accustomed to, but it looks like a real one, which makes you wonder if that’s her own heart showing up through her skin and held there by an old-timey science, or if it belongs to someone else, and she is parading it proudly to show her whole queendom that she commands the lives of all her subjects, and that they are so loyal to her that they would, and apparently have, surrendered their very hearts to her.
