This may sound obvious but I suspect most people treat their sexual gear like anything else when it's not in use. They put it away until next time they need it. Not necessarily out of any desire to hide it as just a desire to have it out of the way.

Then again, half the people on Gnet are teens living at home so maybe they hide it so their parents don't find it, or they just spew it all over their bedrooms like most teens do with their clothing, books, CDs, empty soda cans and everything else.
