Strangerland (2015)

I thoroughly enjoyed it, thought it was a bloody excellent film. Very atmospheric, solid acting and direction, and the story was just delicious.

More than a passing Twin Peaks-ness what with the box, the mother becoming the daughter, the shenanigans with the diary, the looming otherness of the Rainbow Serpent Ngalyod, and much more.

Very enjoyable flick left me thoroughly...

I immensely enjoyed the movie Killing of a Sacred Deer when I saw it several years ago. One of my favorites, I suppose. Though not something I often think about.

Today I happened to read about the movie, Strangerland—which I'm going to start watching in just a moment—and it briefly reminded me of the Killing, and then I forgot all about it.

Now just a moment ago, my spouse said something which reminded me again about that movie, and I said to her something about it....

Here's a bit of something I once worked on. It's abandoned and will not continue.

Just wanted to show it off instead of letting it just decay unseen in the Witch House forever.

Everybody usually just blogs about their own feces, right?

So, here goes...

I've eaten a shit-ton of blueberries the past couple of days, and today my feces were just pure gothic black.

I wish I had snapped a picture for "you guys", but I didn't have the clarity of mind at the time.

What could I blog about?

I'm working on a new short story for a submission call. I'm doing sort of okay with it so far, I guess.

But I'm still gonna fail.

Maybe that's it. maybe I'll blog about my failures... I don't know. What else do I have but failures?
