3/3 If someone dies actively angry at God or unrepentant or their sins, with absolutely no intention of doing so whatsoever, then their fate is sealed. But if someone, like the girl in that topic believes in Jesus Christ but is so emotionally unstable or at her wits end, then I believe God's mercy will prevail. Only God knows the heart of man.

In no way am I trying to push my religion on you, Drake, but I just want to add the perspective that not all Christians believe in torture for those in need.

God is all about love, and the only way into hell is saying "No" to Jesus deliberately and being unrepentant to your dying breath.

I wish you the best and I pray that you'll not see all Christians the same in the future.

    God Bless

2/3 Since Jesus died on the cross, every sin can be forgiven. The unpardonable sin (Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit) was only possible around Jesus Christ's time, when people saw the miracles he was performing and still blatantly proclaimed it as prevarication and trickery. Christian "philosophers", if you will, have researched this and many believe it to be true. At first I didn't because I was just listening to some dead-beat pulpit warmer go on about what he was told by some other dead-beat pulpit warmer.

A lot of people believe the simple statement that what decides your fate is whether or not you've said "yes" to Jesus and repented of your sins. To a large degree, that's true, however, it's not that simple. I know for a fact that God has mercy on those who are suffering. No one knows what goes on in someone's last seconds. All it takes is repentance.

1/3 Hi Drake, I just want to get a word in on an older post, back from when you were feuding with Petronius on topic 13826.

I'd sent you a PM but that's disabled, so I'm posting here.

I'm not trying to pick a fight, but I want to add a point of view from someone who actually knows God and sees his providence on a daily basis.

You stated that "I'm aggressive toward anyone who can subscribe to a theological scheme in which people who need help get torture instead."

I agree with you, to this very second the idea of that angers me. But it enrages me because I know it's not true. I know for a fact that my God is a merciful and loving God, and I want to explain briefly how his love works.
