I find the idea of non-existence liberating and fascinating so from my viewpoint eternal life seems vain.

I think being a Highlander style immortal would be cool because I like swords and super healing. Also I would not want to live forever in some grotesque mutilated state and the highlander cannon solves that neatly with the idea of severed head = death.

Vampire immortality....if I were a vampire I'd have a real issue initially with having to kill to live. But I would love the idea of being able to 'go into the ground' for long periods of hibernation. Hibernation is another idea I find fascinating and liberating.
