My Plague (Abuse remix) ~ Slipknot
It seems kinda like a radio edit. I mean, most of the profanity is taken out or changed to a less offensive swear. It still sounds cool, though. |
Ghost of Corporate Future by Regina Spektor
|
Our Faces Fall Apart by Demon Hunter
|
Beach Boys - "Get around"
|
Wiccan Lullaby- Inkubus/Sukkubus
|
Still Remains - Blossom, the Witch
Great metalcore band. There are synths, yes, but it's not overblown or cheesy, and the occasional harmonized singing parts are not over-the-top emo or anything. One of the few bands in this overcrowded genre that manages to incorporate catchy melodies into their well-produced sound while still being definitely metal. |
Eyes Of The Nightmare Jungle-Shadow Dance
|
A Fine Boat, That Coffin! - Ey, Haste Ne Bombe Geköpft Oder Was?
|
Some song by Collide.
|
The Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

Sisters of Mercy `Vision Thing`
|
Die My Darling bye Misfits
|
Theatres Des Vampires `Dances with Satan`
|
The Phantom Limbs - Topanga Canyon Torture
A nutso synthesizer post-punk carnival ride. |

Umm, I'm just listening to the voices in my head right now, because it's late and the neighbours will bang on the wall if I put music on ;) |
Tool - Lateralis
|
Slipknot ~ Only One
I love how in Die Die My Darling, he yells "die die die", and then just says "my darling". And even wierder, he says darling like dahlin. Woops, Just changed to Scissors ~ Slipknot. |
Light the Fuse and Run - Glass House Warming Party
Emotional/political hardcore with those speak/shout vocals I love, plus the occasional rasping scream for good measure. A jigsaw-puzzle blend of scathing dissonance, melodic restraint and more straightforward punk rock. Amazing guitar parts and powerful stop-start drumming with time signatures that twist and turn in unpredictable ways. An antidote to all the boring "punk" bands littering the airwaves. |
Kreator `Behind the Mirror`
|
Regina Spektor - Ghost of Corporate Future
|
Celtic Frost `Jewel Throne`
|
Skipknot -- Carve
Yep, I'm still listening. I havent gotten all the way through it yet. This is a REALLY old song. It was done when they still had Anders Colsefini. You can't even find this song anymore. |
Respect the Wilderness by Sonata Arctica
|
:Wumpscut: - Praise Your Fears
|
VnV Nation - Paint it Black.
|
Stop It!!! - Remove Your Teeth
"Some writers write all night, ten thousand words of truth / Then they drink themselves to death upon finding it." |
Voodoo Glow Skulls - Insubordination
|
Cocteau Twins - In Our Angelhood
One of my favourite songs by this beautiful band. This is from a BBC session, and sounds more forceful and clear than the album version. |
Death `Pull the Plug`
|
"The Well" by autumn.
|
My Hump ~ T3H Black Eyed Peas, DUH?
|
Victoria's Secret -- Sonata Arctica
I need to get more of these guys' albums. |
Morbid Angel `Immortal Rites`
Classic Morbid Angel ! |
Octavia Sperati - Hunting Eye
Lovely goth/doom-metal band from Bergen, Norway. |
System of a down -- Hypnotize
This album seems to be more oriented on their older stuff compared to Mezmerize. What would you say they used to be? It seemed very death metal influenced. |
Laconic - Lackluster Heavens....Yes, I like to hear myself sing because I am a vain little man.

Currently Playing; David Bowie ~ Survive (Marius de Vries Mix) Next on music to quietly unravel by: Peter Murphy ~ Wish One of the saddest songs ever.. |
Cool! If you dont mind me asking, what band are/were you in?
A Perfect Circle - Imagine. |
No band..
I am doing some tracks with a Dark Dub group here in Portland, and I am working on some solo stuff. There used to be a thread in music with one of the songs in it. Don't know if it's still here. I really don't want to be in a band. I'd rather collaborate with other artists or groups that like what I do, and want to make it flow to music with me. Music=Good The Cruxshadows ~ Deception Next on music to Flicker by: Massive Attack ~ Persian Teardrop ( Dead can Dance Mix) |
Quite cool EPS, I'm in a little classical rock band. And yes, Music=Greater than God.
Tear Garden - You and Me and Rainbows |

https://www.gothic.net/boards/showthread.php?t=1789 I can honestly say I have never heard anyone else mention it, in all the years since I first heard it.. And it's also one of those songs, that you never forget the first time it melts into your brain and other mushy parts.. It's wonderful and unforgettable... Excellent taste. :) Here's one of the songs we're doing. The vocals & lyrics are mine, the music is Acroyear.. http://ikakaratemx.com/images/videos...e_Acroyear.mp3 "Down here everything is fine. We have a straw, we have a line. We have a bag, a rock, a mountain with a string of shepherds driving lions. Aiming skewers at the sheep... face down, asleep in onion fields. The frying fields. The worms... they peep through holes which once were eyes. They thrive... they bake although we painted out the sky and the sun. There's only thunder, and you and me and shadows." |
Oh my god, so wonderful, both your song and You and Me and Rainbows. It painted a perfect picture in my mind, your song that is, which is what I like my music to do, and you have a really...well, sexy voice, but I wonder? Do you also sing?
"Call it home... For you. For me... and rainbows" Still You And Me and Rainbows - Tear Garden. |
