The Black Chucks.

I live in those shoes :D

chelseagirl 06-14-2006 12:26 PM

I'm really needing some sandals for summer, but I can't seem to find anything I like. I want something that is a platform wedge, but no more than 3" at the heel. I like to have at least a 1" toe platform on all shoes that I wear. Does anyone know of any brands or stores that sell cool platform sandals? (excluding Demonia, I hate Demonia). ;)

I have just got a pair of sandals which have given me awful blisters. Looks like its back to the New Rocks until they heal.

spookypurple 06-27-2006 02:07 PM

As I can see you're local (to me!)....

Have you ever tried Compeed plasters? You can get them from Boots. It does involves popping and scalping the blister, but once they're on, it's like have a new piece of skin.

LadySpiderdust 06-28-2006 12:15 AM

I will take a look for those plasters. I havent seen them before.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Or will I need New Rocks?

NB: I don't mean any offense to people who wear Converse or New Rocks.

They really are ugly shoes. I certainly wouldn't wear them, but you should do what you want and not worry about it. They sell other gothic shoes. Buy a pair you actually like.

I am considering buying a pair of Imperial boots myself...
New Rocks... -retches-

I bought soe cheaply off ebay, and they were my size.....but after wearing themm for 4 hours....it hurts like hell. Buy thick socks if you are going to wear them.

I never thought I would buy a pair of New Rocks...I've never really liked them at all. I have seen other people that look great in them, but they're just not really my style. I think, for me personally, they just have too much going on. I like plainer looking boots. THEN, I saw these (but in shiney, crinkled look black patent leather) while on my honeymoon last month. I told my husband if he didn't buy them for me, I was divorcing him as soon as we got back to the US. ;) They are suprisingly comfortable, and they are the ONLY knee high boots I have found that actually accomodate my beefy calves!

I am now also newly obsessed with owning these:

I think I have some sort of mental disorder that makes me hoard boots....

chelseagirl 06-28-2006 07:21 AM

Thanks for the sandal suggestions guys! I think I'm just way to picky about sandals. I'm very sad because I just bought these:

http://www.fantasyshoe.com/item.asp?item=fs80

but on Pennangalan's lower lift sole instead of the stiletto. I was hoping they would be my daily summer shoes, but alas, my fat ankles and fat feet make them unwearable. I hate returning things overseas, it sucks. I shall weep silently at the post office while shipping them back to Pennangalan.

They're in a little clickpack like a rectangular compact, sort of turquoisey-greeny-blue coloured.

Oh, hang on, this'd be easier....

Don't mean to unnecessarily ressurect a thread, but I wat wondering if anyone knew where I could find Transmuters on the cheap?

critterkhan 07-02-2006 04:54 PM

I love my boots (grinders) but my all black converse all-stars are still the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.

spookypurple 07-03-2006 10:30 AM

Plus The Doctor wears them...

You're welcome. Trust me - try them. They're wonderful.

I am obsessed with these New Rock boots...I wish I could find them cheaper somewhere...

I just wear black vans. But I always drag them through dust and make them worn out. Either that I wear black leather boots that go up to the my ankles.

chelseagirl 08-01-2006 01:07 PM

I just found a site that is having a sale, $100.00 !!! off New Rock boots, making most of them under $150.00, but they don't have the styles I want. If anyone is interested, here you go:

"-"-" I dislike New Rocks, with a passion. Let me count the ways...
1) If I'm going to wear heavy branding then I want them to pay me, not the other way around.
2) I'm tall enough already, why would I want to be any taller?
3) I've lost count of the number of friends who have complained that their New Rocks have fallen apart after only a month or so.
4) If you want to buy a decent pair of boots these days you can't, because all the shops only stock New Rocks.
5) I don't want to look 'fierce'. "-"-"

Reasons I like New Rocks

1. Becuase the cool chains, studs, metal bits, and colors
2. I'm tall and who cares if guys have to look up to meet your eyes? They have enough testosterone in high school that they don't have to worry about not being manly.
3. New Rocks are "fun shoes" that you wear when you want to complete an awsome outfit and find that something as bold as the New Rocks is needed.
4. I've never seen a pair of New Rocks in my life. Know why? I live in god damn L.A. County so I have to look online.
5. Looking fierce is fine by me.

These are the boots I got (sorry it's just a link) but mine are the patent ones. 5 hours of wearing & dancing in them meant my feet took a little while to mould back into their original shape

Awesome boots, but damn, I'd totally break my ankle in those! ;)

I found

I found a pair of what are called fire fighter station boots. They are similar to combat boots, but shorter and much stronger.
