Strange, for some reason I always preferred calling them dumb philistines or simpletons.

I always try to ignore trolls, but it's hard when I'm bored.

The problem with trolls is that once you reply to their post, no matter how intelligent or damning a post you make, they've achieved their objective. They exist to make people squirm and rant at them, because they can't find a better way to get a reaction. It's the fastest way to get noticed. Plus it makes them feel superior.

So, as Demonista said, ignore. Their are two other ways to deal with them also: ignore and ignore!

When it comes to Magic the gathering I go by "The only good troll is a dead troll." Every where else, the only troll that isn't a waste of time would have to be Mortiis, but that also has nothing to do with the type being bashed with lead pipes in this much needed rant.
I agree with Demonista, ignore is great. It has saved me a few times.
