They could totally make that fit you without any problems and it shouldn't be terribly expensive but go get an estimate to see if you think it's worth the price.

Have you looked into dusters? They're about as long as trenchcoats, but usually less formal, with fewer buttons (and are more seldom worn).

Dusters make me throw up in my mouth a little. Probably because all the people I've known to wear them were total schmucks who thought they were awesome bad asses.
