The only reason I see to rush things is if you don't properly trust the person and want to tie her down, making it harder for her to leave you if she gets bored with you.

I also really agree with this.

You can still be WITH someone, the one and only for years and years and still not be married.. Being married is just a paper.. That has nothing to do with the feeling.. Marriage is not a feeling, love is..

If you ask me, that's a reason to get married. It's when you've found THAT person, and you can't imagine your life without them.

So, true. I've found mine :)

My engagement ring cost about 200 bucks or so. It has two small hearts with our birthstones in them. And his name on side and mine on another.

100 bucks says Xnguela and Winged aren't with their respective life-long partners.

From today, I'll wait about 2 years. If 2 years from today you still feel the same, I'll mail you a hundred bucks each.

Experience soured my optimism, but it's reading in your posts my very own words that brought this up in me. Sorry for being a Cassandra to your respective relationships, but that's just my opinion.

First we mispelled shakespere the same way because I wasn't sure how tp spell it so I checked how he spelled it.

More importently i'm not realy looking for marriage .The tittle means less and less as people get divorced.I don't like the idea of kids rushing into it without knowing ,is this person someone who can't stand to live without.I'm looking for a love that can not be expressed nor concieved. The girl that makes me hole. The highlight of my day, thats what i'm looking for.The never ending serch.

It is a serious comitment ,if you chose it chose wisely.

Me too. Did you know that there was a time when Lapis was considered the most valuable stone on earth? Are you also a fan of ancient history or do you just like the color?

flawed-mentality 11-11-2005 06:12 PM

I guess your right .There was a time when it was a sierious comitment.Thats one of the reasons why I don't care to much for the tittle of marriage. Its just a tittle.I would rather have the conection. The conection that used to be conected with the tittle. The mutual conection of affection ,admeration, and love.More then just a tempuary infatuation.

Well, I... uh... was going to mention the mesopotamian devotional statues and the prominence of lapis in certain ancient texts such as The Epic of Gilgames...

But I just got helle pwned so I'd better lower my eyes and just say, "I like blue, ma'am. 's real pretty."

I've been with him three years already but...hmmm...I'll be sure eager to collect that money. Shall I hold you to that promise? And everyone is entitled to their own opinion. No offense taken.
