Kick in the Eye, She's in Parties,
and of course, Fishcakes! (po-TAY-toooooooooo....) |
Spirit's on Tonight! :D
--Natalia |
I think I'm gonna have to say 'Scopes'. It really speaks to me. This of corse is a joke. I do like it, though.
Dark Entries by far. Peter's vocals along with Daniel's guitar in that song just fucking slay! Terror Couple Kill Colonel is also a very great song.
'She's In Parties' & 'Bela...'
They are truely great songs. |
I'm currently obsessed with 'Dancing' and 'The Man With the X-Ray Eyes'. How they never became singles or a hits I don't think I'll ever understand.
My friend's mum is a bit of a fan, she's got a crush on Peter Murphy bless her!
Ah anyways I do love their version of 'Ziggy Stardust'. I must purchase an album next time I'm in town. |
Oh yea, Kick in the Eye is an awesome song.
'Dive' is pretty awesome too. And I've always been a fan of 'Terror Couple Kill Colonal'.
The Three Shadows Part II
Freakin' awesome! |
"She's In Parties" is my favorite, right now. I love the whining, wailing deathrocky guitars in the song. Even if you can't understand the lyrics, the guitar riffs just make you wanna mope. Cheers!
I also REALLY love "All We Ever Wanted". It's short, but I can relate to it, big time. It's the perfect song for when life just drudges on and on... "Squash every week into a day" |
I brought 'The Best Of Bauhaus' last weekend. I have to say I've become quite addicted to it. I can't name a single song I don't like on it.
Who Killed Mr. Moonlight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
Hey, I've heard of this band :)
I just love She's in parties, Hollow hills, Passion of lovers, Silent hedges, In the flat field and Swing the heartache. Not very original, but who cares? |
Hm, where to start...
I like Watch that Grandad Go, Third Uncle, Mask, Rosegarden Funeral of Sores, The Three Shadows Pt1 (-3), Bela Lugosi's Dead... Impossible to narrow down. |
"God in an Alcove"
Nerves and God in an alcove.
Kick in the Eye... and Crowds
Slice of Life, Kingdom's Coming, Stigmata Martyr, and Crowds.
Fo' sho.:D |
Stigmata Martyr! No contest on that one.
Who Killed Mr. Moonlight is my favorite. A friend of mine went on a music-whoring spree and made me a CD of Bauhaus songs... that was the song I fell in love with right away.

At the moment my current favourite is Hollow hills.
Gotta love "Dark Entries," but "Crowds" is really starting to grow on me.
"Dark Entries"
Definately She's in parties and The Passion of lovers :P
Dark Entries, Nerves, Mask, The Three Shadows Part II, Silent Hedges, Rosegarden Funeral Of Sores, Hair Of The Dog, In The Flat Field, Double Dare, Kick In The Eye... (gee, did I miss any? :rolls eyes: )
...and, of course, Fishcakes. ;) |
"All We Ever Wanted" --a very underrated, mellow, and short song, but a great song nonetheless.
"Dancing" --an awesome bassline, mindblowing sax solo, and bloodcurdling vocals... make this song an essential listen for me. |
I love every song of theirs, but if given the option to choose, then my favourite are "Dark Entries" "Crowds" "Silent Hedges" and of course, "Bela Lugosi's Dead".
"Stigmata Martyr" and "Bela Lugosi Is Dead" are still my favourites for the sake of times when i had no clue Bauhaus was so appreciated and 'goth'.
The song that pulled me in, that was Stigmata Martyr, it would have taken me several more years to hear about Bauhaus were it not for that scene in 'Night of the Demons'...wow, I feel pathetic.
That is a hard decision.
Right now I am in love with the song "Who Killed Mr. Moonlight". Dark Entries Hollow Hills Are my following favorites. I use to be really into "She's in Parties" and "The Passion of Lovers." Bela Lugosi's Dead is always a good one to fall back on. |

My current favorite is 'Of Lillies and Remains'. In my own oppinion it's one of the best songs to describe the gothic rock genre. I love it. "
"Running through ghost closet locker rooms to hide from Peter who has fallen to the old cold stone floor, wheezing and emiting a seemingly endless flow of ectoplasmic white goo from ears and mouth." (I believe I quoted that right. Correct me if I didn't, please.) |

Hair of the Dog Hollow Hills Lagartija Nick In the Flat Field And Fish Cakes, of course. |
Ain't That a Kick in the Head!
Oh, wait, that's a Dean Martin. Well, Slice of Life is worth mentioning twice. I love finding variations and covers from Slice of Life. |
I'd have to say Dark Entries. I find something so glamorous about the grunge-ness of the song. "We leapt into the bed degrading even lice. She took delight in taking down my shielded pride until exposed became my darker side."
How can I choose...so I will have to go with the cliche answer Bela Lugosi's Dead & probably Double Dare.
hollow hills that one makes Bauhaus sound like Bauhaus.
Kick In the Eye
At the moment it would be Hollow Hills because that's the mood I'm in lately.
