I think I'm gonna have to say 'Scopes'. It really speaks to me. This of corse is a joke. I do like it, though.

Joshie_G 10-01-2006 07:23 PM

Dark Entries by far. Peter's vocals along with Daniel's guitar in that song just fucking slay! Terror Couple Kill Colonel is also a very great song.

She_Is_My_Sin 10-06-2006 01:02 PM

'She's In Parties' & 'Bela...'

They are truely great songs.

Haunted House 10-11-2006 02:46 PM

I'm currently obsessed with 'Dancing' and 'The Man With the X-Ray Eyes'. How they never became singles or a hits I don't think I'll ever understand.

She_Is_My_Sin 10-11-2006 02:50 PM

My friend's mum is a bit of a fan, she's got a crush on Peter Murphy bless her!

Ah anyways I do love their version of 'Ziggy Stardust'. I must purchase an album next time I'm in town.

badteccy 10-11-2006 06:01 PM

Oh yea, Kick in the Eye is an awesome song.

Haunted House 10-12-2006 06:12 AM

'Dive' is pretty awesome too. And I've always been a fan of 'Terror Couple Kill Colonal'.

Paigeybobert 11-15-2006 09:23 PM

The Three Shadows Part II
Freakin' awesome!

Draconysius 11-16-2006 06:30 AM

"She's In Parties" is my favorite, right now. I love the whining, wailing deathrocky guitars in the song. Even if you can't understand the lyrics, the guitar riffs just make you wanna mope. Cheers!
I also REALLY love "All We Ever Wanted". It's short, but I can relate to it, big time. It's the perfect song for when life just drudges on and on...
"Squash every week into a day"

She_Is_My_Sin 11-16-2006 02:03 PM

I brought 'The Best Of Bauhaus' last weekend. I have to say I've become quite addicted to it. I can't name a single song I don't like on it.

korinna5555 11-16-2006 02:15 PM

Who Killed Mr. Moonlight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

Cayca 01-10-2007 01:02 AM

Hey, I've heard of this band :)
I just love She's in parties, Hollow hills, Passion of lovers, Silent hedges, In the flat field and Swing the heartache.
Not very original, but who cares?

Clockwork 01-10-2007 01:27 AM

Hm, where to start...

I like Watch that Grandad Go, Third Uncle, Mask, Rosegarden Funeral of Sores, The Three Shadows Pt1 (-3), Bela Lugosi's Dead...

Impossible to narrow down.

IsThatLatin 01-10-2007 07:10 AM

"God in an Alcove"

son_of_putrefaction 01-10-2007 02:34 PM

Nerves and God in an alcove.

MeZan 01-10-2007 07:11 PM

Kick in the Eye... and Crowds

Godslayer Jillian 01-10-2007 07:30 PM

Slice of Life, Kingdom's Coming, Stigmata Martyr, and Crowds.
Fo' sho.:D

PersephoneX 01-10-2007 09:35 PM

Stigmata Martyr! No contest on that one.

Encaitare 01-11-2007 12:42 AM

Who Killed Mr. Moonlight is my favorite. A friend of mine went on a music-whoring spree and made me a CD of Bauhaus songs... that was the song I fell in love with right away.

Yes! It's probably my favorite, as well. I discovered it, of all places, on an early-80's compilation CD from Starbucks.

honeythorn 01-11-2007 01:28 PM

At the moment my current favourite is Hollow hills.

Pancakes of Doom 01-11-2007 06:43 PM

Gotta love "Dark Entries," but "Crowds" is really starting to grow on me.

deathbecomesme 01-11-2007 09:17 PM

"Dark Entries"

Butcher and the Butterfly 02-25-2007 07:22 AM

Definately She's in parties and The Passion of lovers :P

waxwolf 02-25-2007 08:04 AM

Dark Entries, Nerves, Mask, The Three Shadows Part II, Silent Hedges, Rosegarden Funeral Of Sores, Hair Of The Dog, In The Flat Field, Double Dare, Kick In The Eye... (gee, did I miss any? :rolls eyes: )

...and, of course, Fishcakes. ;)

Draconysius 02-25-2007 08:17 AM

"All We Ever Wanted" --a very underrated, mellow, and short song, but a great song nonetheless.

"Dancing" --an awesome bassline, mindblowing sax solo, and bloodcurdling vocals... make this song an essential listen for me.

Vyvian Blackthorne 02-25-2007 08:24 AM

I love every song of theirs, but if given the option to choose, then my favourite are "Dark Entries" "Crowds" "Silent Hedges" and of course, "Bela Lugosi's Dead".

Hades 02-25-2007 02:35 PM

"Stigmata Martyr" and "Bela Lugosi Is Dead" are still my favourites for the sake of times when i had no clue Bauhaus was so appreciated and 'goth'.

Amledo 02-25-2007 02:39 PM

The song that pulled me in, that was Stigmata Martyr, it would have taken me several more years to hear about Bauhaus were it not for that scene in 'Night of the Demons'...wow, I feel pathetic.

DevilsMustKnow 02-25-2007 03:48 PM

That is a hard decision.
Right now I am in love with the song "Who Killed Mr. Moonlight".
Dark Entries
Hollow Hills
Are my following favorites.
I use to be really into "She's in Parties" and "The Passion of Lovers."
Bela Lugosi's Dead is always a good one to fall back on.

Lol, that's how i heard of them too :D but rather than pathetic... i feel lucky!

Haunted House 03-01-2007 03:57 PM

My current favorite is 'Of Lillies and Remains'. In my own oppinion it's one of the best songs to describe the gothic rock genre. I love it. "
"Running through ghost closet locker rooms to hide from Peter who has fallen to the old cold stone floor, wheezing and emiting a seemingly endless flow of ectoplasmic white goo from ears and mouth." (I believe I quoted that right. Correct me if I didn't, please.)

The twenty scopes! Also,

Hair of the Dog
Hollow Hills
Lagartija Nick
In the Flat Field

And Fish Cakes, of course.

Godslayer Jillian 03-01-2007 05:15 PM

Ain't That a Kick in the Head!
Oh, wait, that's a Dean Martin.
Well, Slice of Life is worth mentioning twice. I love finding variations and covers from Slice of Life.

IsolatedReptile 03-04-2007 02:48 PM

I'd have to say Dark Entries. I find something so glamorous about the grunge-ness of the song. "We leapt into the bed degrading even lice. She took delight in taking down my shielded pride until exposed became my darker side."

Midnight_Fantasy 03-05-2007 05:32 AM

How can I choose...so I will have to go with the cliche answer Bela Lugosi's Dead & probably Double Dare.

Lucretia_my_Reflection 03-06-2007 02:56 AM

hollow hills that one makes Bauhaus sound like Bauhaus.

Aurora Calerva 03-12-2007 01:03 AM

Kick In the Eye

Midnight_Fantasy 03-18-2007 04:57 AM

At the moment it would be Hollow Hills because that's the mood I'm in lately.
