And there is nothing I like more than to write characters who are way off mainstream :-D

Samfundsfag C I believe it was. It's a Danish book, so I doubt you are going to get much from attempting to read it.

Versus: I am so sorry to hear about your unit. And sorry to hear that the military is that bad at dealing with it. I hope you'll be ok.

Apparently I will be hosting a Super Bowl party, no clue how many people will be here but seeing as almost everyone we know lives in barracks I'm guessing there will be quite a few. Potentially huge party with no time to plan. Awesome. At least it is a Super Bowl so as long as there is beer and some sort of food or food-like item everyone should be happy, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to freak out trying to get everything perfect.

Such a sad state of affairs.

I recently heard on the radio, of a lady who had terminal cancer, with a couple of young kids, whose husband was overseas (in the army I believe) serving his country, and she was afraid to use the military support service, in case it reflected badly on her husband. She even didn't want to get him back home on compassionate grounds, because she thought it would reflect on his military service in a negative way. Instead, her parents moved in with her, and were nursing her and caring for her two small children.

Now that's seriously fucked up.

@Timeless: poopers.

Saya - it's superbowl time of the year? it's the only game I watch, and I have absolutely no idea what they are doing, but I know when someone gets the ball, I yell Run.

Solumina 01-30-2013 08:49 PM

I mostly watch the Super Bowl for the commercials but Baltimore is in my blood (even if I'm not really a devoted fan of any of their teams) so I kind of have to care a little about the game this year and of course have Baltimore style food.

Evey time Jake sees me watching diy network he makes fun of me but he is the one who talking about how excited he is that we are going to buy a house when we get to Hawaii. Silly Jacob this is how I get excited about it

I'm going to try and convince a professor to let me write about unicorns, so I'm doing some research to make sure there's enough material out there for me to write a 3000 page paper, and you know, there seems to be pretty little written about unicorns as a girly thing. Plenty of it as a religious symbol, but not so much about its secularization and the fascination little girls have with them.

I'm looking at online book stores and I got a little excited to see Into The Land Of Unicorns by Bruce Coville online. I LOVED that book when I was a kid but was never able to find it sequels. Would it be weird to order the series?

Timeless Rebellion 02-03-2013 02:04 PM

3000 pages?? What exactly is it you are studying??

Saya 02-03-2013 02:09 PM

Oops, 3000 words XD I think when I typed 3000 I started thinking "how many pages is that?"

Timeless Rebellion 02-05-2013 04:00 AM

That seems more correct xD I'd also hate to be the professor who had to grade an entire classroom's 3000 page papers :p

Seroquel powers activated. Just got put on this shit on top of my other medications and I am trippin' fuckin' BALLS. I feel better though. Loads better.

Fruitbat 02-07-2013 03:31 AM

Love listening to radio national. Learn so much love the cool music on The Inside Sleeve. Oh and i love Elephant Revival, and Robby Buck's voice.

Ohh and Phil Adams. His show is awesome!

And I'm pulling out the pom-poms for our young australian of the year Akram Azimi. He's so inspiring, and so positive despite everything he's been through. What an amazing young man he is.

MissCheyenne 02-07-2013 01:21 PM

Ugh, my new meds have changed the way things taste. I either can't taste anything at all or the few things I can taste, taste wrong. For example, the always super minty fresh toothpaste tastes like lemons to me >.<

Fruitbat 02-09-2013 02:35 AM

I'm going to head off into the wild. Might go find me a mango tree to hang upside down in for awhile.

MissCheyenne 02-10-2013 10:29 AM

I want a proper pen pal. Like people had when I was a kid. It'd be so nice to have a letter through the post that wasn't another bill or medical appointment :(

Well it just so happens I have pretty pink stationary that I bought on a whim!

MissCheyenne 02-10-2013 01:00 PM

Saya, if you PM me your address, I will have a letter in the post for you this coming week. I swear, I won't send you any used underwear :P

Saya 02-10-2013 01:04 PM

Hahahaha, wasn't concerned about that til now XD

MissCheyenne 02-10-2013 01:06 PM

Haha, I was just putting my position out there :D

Miss Absynthe 02-11-2013 02:45 AM

MC - get someone to check your blood sugar every few months. Seroquel gave me diabetes.

Geoluhread 02-13-2013 03:00 PM

I'm in Europe for the next year and a half and have a chance to travel around. I'd like to meet some of you guys :D

Isn't there a website you can go to, to get a letter. I'm pretty sure I've heard of other people who love getting letters.

I know I get all excited when I get a letter in the mail, except bills. I try to give them back to the postie but he doesn't take them.

Well I'm almost finished painting 12ft ceilings - glad to not have to jump while up on a ladder to reach the top - and I painted them with a paintbrush because rolling didn't work.

And now i can stop ogling tall people at the supermarket and wondering how to ask them to "come over, and paint my ceilings for me."

Now I just need to get a full time paid job, to go with my full-time housekeeper job, and 24/7 mum job, and my part-time carer job, and I'll be able to afford to go to the UK to see my sick sister (the only one of my siblings who is cool).

Solumina 02-14-2013 09:55 PM

I completely forgot it was Valentines Day and only remembered because we went out to see the new Die Hard. Guess it's a good thing Jake and I decided not to do any gifts.

Saya 02-15-2013 04:28 AM

There's a new Die Hard? /sheltered.

Versus got me that black dress I really wanted ^_^ now if only we were both able to skype at the same time, I'd be happy.

Fruitbat 02-18-2013 09:07 PM
