That's just silliness.

Wow, badteccy, you sure are out of the loop! Every true g.nettian knows that Stormtrooper of Death doesn't give a flying fiddlestick about GOTH. As he's apt to remind us in every other post he makes, he's a PUNK- duh!

Lou Reed - A Perfect Day

...it pleasantly agrees with my nightmares.

Just a perfect day
problems all left alone
Weekenders on our own
it's such fun

Just a perfect day
you made me forget myself
I thought I was
someone else, someone good

Oh, it's such a perfect day
I'm glad I spent it with you
Oh, such a perfect day
You just keep me hanging on
You just keep me hanging on

You're going to reap just what you sow
You're going to reap just what you sow
You're going to reap just what you sow
You're going to reap just what you sow

Can't really see how they're opposites. They both have prominent bass and emphasis on poetic lyrics (if you look at rap groups like Aesop Rock and Blackalicious).

HumanePain 05-07-2008 06:49 AM

One - Three Dog Night - the lyrics could be considered Goth. :D OK, more like Emo.

I love Discharge. I used to play bass covers of them live, but no one else ever figured out who they were. Sigh @ hardcore bands not knowing hardcore music.

Classic UK82 from one the best bands.

SOD, your signature made me curious, so I decided to check them out. Discharge is pretty sick.

State Violence, State Control - Discharge

Stormtrooper of Death 05-11-2008 05:38 PM

Well I'm glad you like them. What you're listening to is latter period Discharge, 1982-1983, it was the last record that Bones played on. He left in 83 and formed Broken Bones, who then released a few awesome EPs, Decapitated is the best they came out with in my opinion. But back to Discharge, they've been my favorite band for a while now, Dead Kennedys couldn't cut it anymore. So I went to the record store and have managed to hunt down every single thing they came out with. Check out the Decontrol, Never Again and Fight Back eps, excellent stuff. If you need to know anything else about them, ask away.

I'd just like to add to this Discharge fellatio that I love every cover of "The Possibility of Life's Destruction" ever recorded.
