You want a way to stop corporations from doing shit, then stop buying their products.

Thank you! I was just about to make this post, because YES, fucking yes it stopped me!

Is it that damn hard to deny yourself a can of Coke just because it kills people, poisons water supplies and basically contributes to the ass-fucking of the world? Have we become that spoiled and selfish? If people stop pumping money into these companies, they will lose the power that makes these things possible. It's pretty bloody basic.

Deadmanwalking_05 08-26-2008 11:19 AM

Why does everything have to be turned into a moral or political debate around here, lighten the fuck up!

It was just a fucking question.

LiUsAiDh 08-26-2008 11:20 AM

Deadmanwalking_05 08-26-2008 11:25 AM

I know where I'm at,I can read,thankyou.

It should be called Crusader.net the way things turn political around here.

Solumina 08-26-2008 12:08 PM

Yeash I didn't know that Coke was that bad. Well I've been thinking about switching to organic soda anyway, anyone know any particularly good brands?

Deadmanwalking_05 08-26-2008 12:11 PM

Nope but if you find any I would like to know about it.

(I'd give it a chance)

Solumina 08-26-2008 12:13 PM

Will do, maybe I will wander to the health food store in my complex and see what the guy there recommends

IT'S LIKE RAY-EEE-AAANEEEE ON YOUR WEDDING DAY

Nothing in that fucking song is ironic. Not one fucking thing.

THERE IS NOT A SINGLE FUCKING THING ABOUT COOKING BREAKFAST WHEN YOU'RE LATE FOR WORK THAT IS IRONIC.

THAT IS NOT IRONY.

THAT IS YOU BEING A MORON.

Actually, the Mr. Play it Safe anecdote could be considered ironic, but nothing else.

Solumina 08-26-2008 01:00 PM

So just got back from the shop and he said that Steaz are their best selling organic sodas. He gave me a cola on the house and it was fantastic. I got a sample pack and I'll let you know how I like the others. Apparently they are made with green tea as the base, cane sugar as the sweetener, and only contain naturally occurring caffeine so they are supposed to be beneficial to your health, instead of detrimental like most sodas.

Crying_Crimson_Tears 08-26-2008 02:31 PM

My mom actually gave me some Pepsi today.

Did you headbutt her in the name of political activism?

HumanePain 08-27-2008 03:32 AM

In the undecided countries such as Benin, Coke and Pepsi wage war with henchmen blowing up each others bottling plants, assassinating each others executives and distributors and intimidating consumers at supermarkets and even gas station vending machines.

Heck, I could write a pretty good story with the above scenario! :D

Besides, you shouldn't drink cola anyway. That shit rots your insides.

Yeah, I know, but I can't help myself; I'm addicted to Coke the same way some folks are addicted to cigarettes or video games. :/

These days, though, I've been drinking more tea than anything else, and will have 20 oz Coke about once a day, if that; it's a great improvement from when I was drinking four or five a day.

Yes, read it well, kind readers, a high official of the government of President Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada has authorized the sale of coca to make the most consumed soft drink in the world.

This statement was denied by a spokeswoman of the United States company, in a telephone interview from Atlanta, with the Mexican daily El Universal, who said that the company doesn’t use cocaine and that it never has been part of the drink’s ingredients.

Then, what’s the story?'

Mmm, hmm. *raises eyebrow*

Nothing on these boards can be left alone as a simple debate. It always has to go political and sombody always is schooled on some form of Grammar.

Tam Li Hua 08-27-2008 12:41 PM

Joker: It certainly seems that way. O___o;;;

LiU: This article is from 2002. Is there something more recent, and from a more reliable source, that you could give? And if this is such a problem, why isn't the regular media all over this?

Just seems a bit fishy to me. I think I'd need a little more than guesswork before I randomly give up my occasional indulgence of one of my favorite products.
