I can deal with under-intellectualism. What I -don't- respect is someone who claims intellectualism about a particular topic, is shown to be wrong by several others who know better, and then just starts cursing people out and telling them that they don't know what they are talking about, and in general pitching a fit because they were, in fact, wrong.

A more reasonable approach would be to show why they think they are right, free from derogatory speech, or to take the critique and consider that they may have, indeed, been wrong.
