HumanePain 01-19-2014 12:39 PM

Damn it all to hell, I'm crying again, because of this fucking intense song:
Blurry - Puddle of Mudd

deathsdj 01-20-2014 11:00 PM

Blurry is a great song.

Another is 'A Day to Be Alone' by One Less Reason.

BourbonBoy 01-23-2014 10:30 PM

I have a lot hate relationship with the song "Blurry" since it reminds me of a lost love and the drama we experienced in the army. (Toasts beer) I know the feeling HumanePain.

I am listening to Joy Divison - Colony.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD3BRAiMrAw

(Sorry if there happens to be a way that I can embed videos into posts. I can't figure it out.)

This is a particularly nostalgic song for me. It reminds me of my roomie/good friend was having a birthday bash at a motel. We chilled around town for a bit, as she and her friends frequented the area. One of her friends wound up taking us to this place called "The Colony" that was too hilariously sketchy to be possible. Amidst Long Island, it seemed like a caricature of a sketchy place. Long Island has a distinct flavor of shadiness at its basal nature and the places that are shady are pretty fucking hilarious until you discover a bullet in your skull. Anyway, this "Colony" I speak of seemed to embody every stereotype about a sketchy place that you could imagine, particularly personified by a cracked-out guy I/we encountered whom was covered in sores and rambling some inane nonsense which affirmed my faith in humanity. It was truly exquisite in that Colony.:p

Killswitch Engage - Always

Deftones - Romantic Dreams

deathsdj 03-03-2014 10:16 PM

The Crystal Method - High Roller

Kings Of Leon - Use Somebody

The Black Keys - Sinister Kid

If anyone is curious these songs I post in this thread are usually the last few I played while working as a DJ in a strip club. I usually don't post the rap mainly because I don't really care for it and didn't want my friends here to think I did.

Finding good neoclassical music with strings reminds me that I once wanted to buy and learn how to play the violin.. But I should probably fix my guitar first due to mine being completely screwed up with the nut wearing or something, and my copy of Rocksmith 2014 collecting dust. Which I don't know how much that's going to cost along with driving out of my way to find a repair shop, so the whole situation is kind of shitty.
