I've been following this New Portuguese project. They are currentely working on their fist album. Kind of industrial Goth plus world music (Fado). check it out:

Just heard some song with some lyrics saying stuff like "apathy, apathy, you must be very old, you must be very old, try again, try again, feel the power in the air, apathy, apathy" or something like that. I've tried looking everywhere to find out who's song that is and no luck. If anyone here knows who's song that is and/or where I can find it please let me know.

For something totally different I decieded to look through the vaults of my CD collection. Right now I'm listening to the soundtrack of the Scandinavian police show Ornen (The Eagle : A Crime Odyssey) Excellent show and the theme song 'Forgiveness' sung by Misen Groth is just beautiful in its melancholy.

Ok, I'm allowed back in !. So slight correction - the other vid is for 'Backfired'.
Yeah, there's reggae in there, jazz, early rap, motown and R&B, some of her stuff reminds me of 70s Stevie Wonder. Some of her stuff for Blondie influenced The Police. I just wish she'd gone more down this more alternative path. |
