It's not about being right on the internet, it's about being right. People like Alan, GM, JCC, and I are fucking frustrated with the self-delusion. It's more than one argument on the internet; our whole society is falling into this trap and it's downright frightening. |

Also, depending on weight distribution, dropping down to that size could mean losing only a few pounds, so don't treat it like it is so dramatic. |

I'm surprised to be in this position actually because usually I'm right at the head of the anti-fat brigade. But at the end of the day what I saw was an argument about a petty definition and there were insults thrown about that were really unnecessary. Perhaps I'm just disgusted with this because I find Honeythorn to be overall quite a lovely person, and it's well documented on this website how hard she's been trying to get healthy. |
Who started throwing the insults? Honeythorn's weight was the elephant in the room (oh shit, I kill me sometimes) that we were all trying our best to avoid so as not to hurt her feelings, but when she keeps retorting to every fucking thing with "SIZE 12 ISN'T A PLUS SIZE" "YOU ALL LIKE SKELETAL FREAKS" "YOU WANT FAT PEOPLE TO DIE" it's difficult to feel guilty when you retort with calling her porky.
|
The stuff she said wasn't prodding a deep-rooted self esteem issue in all of you, at least not knowingly.

I never said you shouldn't take height into account. I never said you can tell if a woman is fat or thin by looking at just her dress size. I never said all cases are the same. Stop misunderstanding me. |

I know that I personally have actually said outright the my frustration is not really with Honeythorn, but OTHER people, you know, thus demonstrating that I realize Honeythorn is not all of society. |

And what's with the use of the word 'keep'? This is the first time I've stood up for her in any way, and I've already stated why. |
There's no need to apologise, that's the point I'm making. If I have a problem, and an issue that is raised gets inside my skin, I still have no right to start casting my problems out on to everyone else and then demand their sensitivity anyway, and neither does honeythorn.
As for 'keep', I meant to persist as you are, it was an order, I wasn't implying that you're like honeythorn's Robin. |
Quote:
As for the first part - you talked about the frustration as though it were justification for the insults that were directed towards Honeythorn. I just stated it because it should be extremely obvious that she's not all society. |
Quote:
I won't retract the apology, because I actually am sorry. I can see your point though. I never said Honeythorn was devoid of being at all wrong in this thread, just that things got a bit too far below the belt in one particular direction. That is all. |
|
Cicero I just want to point out that there have been plenty of post on this site about people having eating disorders and Honeythorn has given input into those decisions so she is aware of this, she just decided to disregard that and toss around eating disorders as if they were nothing serious. I'm sorry but the way that she did that really surprised, saddened, and angered me.
It was clear that everyone had been making a point of avoiding talking about her weight even though it was clearly coloring her opinion but she started throwing insults that have every chance of seriously getting into people's psyche and when you do that you should expect to be treated in kind. |

Yo, this is Gnet. Insult-slinging always goes further than it needs to because that's what we are, ultimately, all about. We're all a bunch of volatile fucks on a horse so high it makes our nose bleed; it was miraculous that we spent this long taking someone's feelings into account when it wasn't reciprocated.

Is it just me or does your username mean John Cooper Clarke?

For serious, I only wish it did.

My internets died when I tried to make a post before comparing my (reasonably thin) body with a delicious ladyfriend's (larger) body and our relative health.
The gist was this. I am a UK size 8-10, or US 6-8. Not large, I'm sure we can all agree. Not underweight either, not the danger zone that UK size 6 can be, but some way from being a big girl. My ladyfriend is a UK 14, or US 12, usually the start of plus-sizes in America (though 16 is more usually the start of the plus sizes in the UK). She is taller than me, bigger boned than me, and her body does have more curve than mine, particularly in the places that it looks best. She is also in better physical shape than me, with far more strength and stamina. Her dress size may be heading toward the generous, and mine may be in the suggested portion size, but she's the one in better health. I am the weakling who gets out of breath after too many flights of stairs. Dress size really isn't all that indicative of health. You need to be really quite overweight before serious judgements can be made based on clothing size- UK 16-18 at least. |

I still think curvier women look prettier. The end. |
Yo so when is honeythorn coming in here to apologise for getting up in everyone's grill, turning shit personal and being obstinate in her misinformation?

Anyway, we head up to the bar to grab our first pitcher and a couple bucks in quarters. At this point one of the drunks manages to smack into roommate's arm as he was trying to squeeze in between him and the girl just as he's turning away from the bar, causing him to splash a sizable portion of our pitcher on her shirt. Being the kind person I am sometimes, I offer her the use of my shirt while I wash hers in the laundry machines at the apartment complex next door. While her shirt is in the wash we start talking and as the conversation gets going we start sitting closer together. Shortly there after she starts talking about how she loves my long hair and commenting on how soft it was as she started playing with and running her fingers through it. That was about the point we ended up deciding that me and my bro are going to accompany her and her roommate to their place once her roomie gets off work. A little more time passes, her roomie shows up and we head back to their place. Now the roommate probably weighed somewhere between 130-140lbs, but come time to move into the bedroom my bro was heading off to the skinny girl's room and me to the other's as I had shifted most of my attention to her friend as soon as she arrived. So, why did I pick the 140lb woman over the one weighing 110lbs? Because a nice portion of that 140lbs were gorgeously round DD sized pillows for my head to rest on during the movie and hips that couldn't have been designed more perfectly curved. While, on the other hand, the skinny girl's nearly strait lined body more closely resembled that of my roommates than a woman's. I'm also far from the only guy that perfers a size 10 or 12 to a size 3 or 4. I've known lots of guys that find Paris Hilton's body very unattractive. As to someone's comment about how a guy would be more attracted to a skinny girl over a more full figured one because genetically we find unhealthy looking people unattractive, I think you've got things switched around. If you look back through history, as well as to current period cultures that haven't been programmed to think thinner equals sexier, the ideal woman's body always has a fair amount of beautifully contoured meat to it as that's the way nature intended a woman's body to look and men are attracted to it because in our species a woman with a nice amount of roundness has always equated to a good sign of health and fertility. As for which is actually unhealthy or unattractive, either can be. Obviously not to many men want to be with a woman if you have to prop up her belly fat to gain access to her vaginal region or go at her from behind because her front butt sticks out twice as far as her rear, ummm, rear. Then there's the health problems like high blood pressure, cholesterol, type II diabetes and a whole assortment of other medical problems caused by obesity. On the other end of the spectrum, if I wanted to have intercourse with someone that had a strait lined and hard body I'd find me a guy to have a fling with. When it comes to women's bodies, not only do I find a rounder woman more sexually attractive, I also find that sex itself is more pleasurable. Not only do skinny girls tend to lack the nicely rounded breasts and hips, there's nothing there to act as a cushion and it feels like my public bone's smacking into and grinding again hers. Plus, there's also health issues related to being overly skinny such as anemia, higher risk for osteoporosis in women and weakened immune systems. |
This argument is dead, man, nobody cares whether you prefer plumper women or not. We're just waiting on honeythorn's apology for being a bitch, really.
|
Your FACE is dead.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZAP! |
|
I grabbed a handful of chubby tits last night that I thoroughly enjoyed, ahahhaa.

If I want to grab some awesome titties I just grab my own, I have yet to find a nicer pair.

Alright who else is sick as shit of seeing Creature's stupid fucking pictures?
Um... and PS. I like my boobies too. |

what about you. Are you after a cookie? |
It's not about a sense of humor. It'd be funny if it happened once, maybe twice. It's like every other post you make is just a goddamn picture. I can understand if you use them to enhance an argument or something, but when it becomes your main source of communication I start to wonder if you just can't think of anything else to say.
|
well we all have different ways to express ourself.
Some people choose to express their opinion with a visual image while other rather write. i like to use visual image,if you don't get the meaning behind it then i should ask you if you are able to think. |
You are a retard.

Quote:
how does it make me a retard? i don't find that insulting someone is a very clever way to answer but then again it's only because you can't not think of anything to say therefore you choose to do so. it's somehow very childish . |
