I'm ashamed to say this....

I'm addicted to House. I seriously watched it for 3 hours on USA last night, and then went to Youtube and watched another 3+ hours of it. I think I just love shows where the main character is a total asshole....

KontanKarite 02-05-2009 04:15 PM

Dude... me too. :(

$haDe 02-05-2009 04:28 PM

I watched it once or twice on AXN.

I mean I have watched some comedy about doctors and hospital and... you know, shows like Doc Martin and other alike, AND House is one of the best.

XXChristabelXX 02-05-2009 04:43 PM

Why have shame for what you like? Seems a waste of time. House is awesome, there is no shame in it

Underwater Ophelia 02-05-2009 04:50 PM

House is fucking incredible. I have the whole series on DVD.

XXChristabelXX 02-05-2009 04:56 PM

I missed much of this season, is he fucking Cuddy or do I get to watch her strip-tease on You-Tube some more without her being crudded up with his junk?

Cicero 02-05-2009 04:57 PM

Yeah, House is awesome. It made me want to be a doctor back when I first watched it.

But Hugh Laurie is brilliant, so I have trouble not liking every single thing he's in.

gothicusmaximus 02-05-2009 05:09 PM

This is a pretty good show, but I've become less endeared to it as a result of others' incessantly comparing my personality to that of the central character. My father is a particularly big fan, and thinks said parallel is endlessly hilarious. One of my greatest fears is developing a severe limp and being drowned beneath the torrent of House jokes that would inevitably speed towards me.

Slap Your Love 02-05-2009 06:16 PM

I've watched every episode of House thus far and the same applies
to scrubs.

Renatus 02-05-2009 06:18 PM

Ok so it's settled then, if we were to ever have a gnet get together, we would have house on a continuous loop on a movie screen.

Devil's Darling 02-05-2009 08:13 PM

House is one of my favorite TV shows ever.

Uh and....

Hugh Laurie's eyes are BEAUTIFUL.

I once watched it for nine hours straight, during one of the holiday day long marathons.
Each episode reminds me of my family. :P

You shouldn't be ashamed to say you like House. House is awesome. In my opinion, one of the best shows on television. You should be more ashamed of being ashamed that you like House.

jack_the_knife 02-05-2009 11:09 PM

House is exceedingly good compared to most drivel they broadcast. In my opinion, Laurie has done some better stuff though. Even though, House is by far his most popular (and most serious) character.

Tam Li Hua 02-06-2009 07:32 AM

House is awesome. :D

HumanePain 02-06-2009 08:07 AM

When I first read this I thought you were all talking about house dance music.
I don't watch enough television to be familiar with programs like this one.

Malice In Wonderland 02-06-2009 08:29 AM

House is amazing...

badteccy 02-06-2009 11:04 AM

Hugh Laurie..yum yum

Darcnyss 02-06-2009 11:40 AM

I also love the show. What gets me, however, is seeing Hugh Laurie in the older British shows like Blackadder, and seeing him in House I just can't get over the new American accent...

Honestly, I'd say you're not very House-like at all.

PortraitOfSanity 02-06-2009 07:58 PM

Yea I don't see the comparison either. Of course, I don't know you apart from what you write on here, so....

Duane 02-06-2009 08:12 PM

House is awesome.

I don't really get it either. He's certainly not the fictional character with whom I have the most in common-- I'd say that would be Batman or God, possibly a cross between the two named Batgod. I suppose we're both attractive, virtually infallible, and misanthropic, but those are pretty sweeping adjectives.

ThreeEyesOni 02-06-2009 08:19 PM

It's a good show with great actors, a better-than-average plot, and it is scientifically accurate.

What the hell's wrong with that?

Amy_Twilight 02-07-2009 03:02 PM

he's attitude is the best thing about the whole show. (x

Disaffected Shoelaces 02-11-2009 01:48 PM

It's definitely the Hugh Laurie factor. House is pretty crap overall, but with Hugh Laurie it becomes kind of shamefully compulsive. I don't think I'd be remotely inclined to watch it if someone else was starring.

He's basically Dr. Cox in a show that takes itself seriously. Oh, and the lame side-stories about the rest of the young, attractive team whose moviestar faces hide a variety of troubled pasts.

... No, I'm not kidding. I'll watch it, but it's not particularly great.

You don't find House attractive?

HauntingMist 02-11-2009 02:49 PM

House is a very good show. It's not the best out there, but it's highly entertaining.

BaronBarker 03-23-2009 03:35 PM

I love house too been watching it from the start I like tv shows that actually have realistic characters and character devolpment in them I find house to be one of the few that offer this, I can't help but love everything Hugh Laurie says he's awesome, some of the recent episodes have been kind of dull in my opinion though

Marcus Mayer 03-29-2009 05:06 AM

I must say i dont like house. He has a wonderfull view on the world yes ,but after seeing one episode I find it quite obviously a facade for hiding how hurt he is because no one truelly cares about him. I love his cinisism and straight forward jokes but to watch a whole episode of it would drive me crazy
I do honestly understand why you would love it but sadly,or maybe fortunatly ,its not my thing
