An Introduction I Suppose;
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I'm a part time piercer who enjoys music, photography, my friends, art in general, and of course, chopping up babies. 2. Where are you from? I am currently located in Anoka, Minnesota. 3. Who is your favorite author? I rather enjoy Poe, though it is rather stereotypical, but I read whatever I can get my filthy little hands on, so I don't really have a favorite. 4. What are your favorite films? Beetlejuice. Hands down. I don't care if you think it's stupid, (or, yet again, more stereotypical) but I will never tire of watching it. I also like The Signal, Angel-A, The City Of Lost Children, Mirrormask, The Crow, etc, etc... I'm sort of a movie critic and watch too many to remember. 5. What music do you want played at your wedding? I doubt I'll ever get married, so does it really matter? 6. At your funeral? I'll be dead. Again, does it matter? 7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die? haha. I think a murder would be pretty nice. Real bloody and beautifully carried out. Well planned, you know? 8. What kind of casket would you want? I want a black toe-pincher with dark red velvet interior. Yes, I have looked in to buying one already. 9. What's your FAVORITE outfit? Short skirts, big boots, layers and layers of ripped tights/fishnets, some form of revealing top... All black of course. 10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid? Innocence. 11. What's your favorite band? Deftones, TOOL, The Cure, Blue October, Emilie Autumn, Etc... I'm also a music enthusiast. 12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major? More education than most my age. I'm in the process of getting my shit together to go to beauty school. Other than that, I work at a dry cleaners part time, am a piercer the other half, and do odds-and-ends jobs like makeup and hair for photographers and model. 13. Why did you join? I was actually referred by my very good friend, Stormtrooper of Death. 14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender? I'm female, but my actions and behaviors are far from it. |
I like you! Welcome welcome
Thank you! SoD has said good things about this forum and you.
Which one of his hot friends are you?
haha. I can post a picture if you like... But I look a bit different from what you might have seen/heard. haha
Stormtrooper of Death said good things about this forum? Why? I don't think that any of his posts have ever been met with positive response, except for easily agreeable ones like "I like music."
Yes, he's a bit off I guess when talking to strangers, but in person, and as my very good friend, he said it's an alright site. Anyways, does it matter what he says?
Beetlejuice and Mirrormask are good. Chopping up babies ... ha ha, er ... yeah.
You and I should never talk about American football, but I have had some very interesting conversations with some people from Minnesota. Welcome to this place. I look forward to your contributions. |
I hope you enjoy my sometimes overly random posts. By the way... Nice avatar!
Thanks. There are plenty of good threads around here for randomness!
Hayie Corpsie...soooo welcome!

Hey there stranger. Welcome to the forums.
The Cure and Tool, and Mirrormask. S'all good there! Welcome.
I only have about 4 girls that are friends. Everyone else is a guy. Why you might ask? I burp, eat, talk about women, drink like a beast, and do an array of other "manish" things. hah
Oh fun! (not enough characters)
...
Sarcasm? |
Welcome I guess.
Hell yeah. This site definitely needs more Tool fans.

haha. Oh, sorry. People have been sort of hostile and I just wanted to make sure of what you meant.
Yeah, I enjoy the company of guys more than girls, I just get along with them better. |
Yep. I like that. Usually women who are like that are more comfortable in their own skin, more relaxed if you know what I mean.

Thank you? And Underwater Ophelia, what reason do you have for not liking me? I'm not quite sure you have a defined reason to dislike me being as we have never met.
People in here are good. Holy. Thou shalt not say that.
I'm not quite sure I understand..
Yeah, there's a lot of that going around. Don't stress out over that one.
Agreed. This whole place reminds me of the song Sunshine Ward by Amebix at times.
:F I love you analface!
This is reunion of sorts here, this place is changing for the better.

Enough of this, call me what you want, it's all words when the day is done.

very true indeed . Some people take it just a tiny winy bit too seriously.

You know what I did today? Had a cricket spitting competition with live crickets in front of a church. Not my church, per se. THAT'S man stuff--all the chicks screamed, and MY girl threatened to throw up. Awesome. They even let me take them home.... So now, when my roommate gets here, he'll find a box of live crickets in his room. MICHAEL JACKSON QUOTE: So fun....
No, but they had coffee, at least. I've had six cups, or I'd have passed out by now... God, why am I still alive?!?! I get almost literally NO sleep whatsoever... So if there's a typo or something I didn't catch, for one, the keyboard is sticking and I don't know why, and for another I fell asleep during the sermon for thirty seconds and woke up not knowing where I was. At least I saw The Sixth Sense last night.... why was I crying? Exhaustion, probably.... I volunteered to help paint my girlfreinds bedroom, but first I ahd to strip the wallpaper... GOd, I'm ranting. I'M SORRY!!!!! |
Haha.
I would love to be your room-mate. |
I feel like I should reassess myself. I burp and fart and talk about chicks and drink too much and hang out with boys. I never felt tomboyish or un-girly. That's just what people do, innit?

It is foreseeable that, perhaps, there may be a couple of people on a forum at "gothic.net" might feel as though they completely fit within a gender role assigned to their sex and that only... but it just isn't likely. Even if it wasn't a gothic forum, it's 2010, officially the future, and trying to hold on to gender role like they actually mean something just comes off as desperate to me... something old people who are afraid to die would do. And the biggest problem is that the question is clearly asking what your sex is, but it says "gender" in a context that focuses on your personality, and not your physical sex. The problems with this are innumerable, and my head is going to explode if I think about it anymore. Anywhichways, my point is that the question was worded to make Ophelia hate you. By using gender and not sex in a way that clearly means they want to know your physical sex, you answered with both. When pressed, you just mentioned things that you felt put you into a more masculine mindset. And you aren't wrong... standards of gender are only based on your expectations of them, "farting and drinking" are only masculine to you because... they are masculine to you. That's it. But because the question is so... awkward, Ophelia would look at that and go "what the shit is this? how does that quantify anything?" Because everyone is going to have a different reaction to that horribly worded question. It's probably all just a misunderstanding. That, or some people really are that obnoxiously stand-offish. I prefer to blame the question. I'm really ranting myself off a cliff here, so ima sum this up by saying that the whole thing is a conspiracy run by the lizard men from beyond the moon. |
Why is my friend's thread being used as a rant for you, stay outta here!

Like anything else, it always helps to have a good group going....and my current knitting group consists of a variety of personalities, some of whom are the type of women who don't always get along with their own gender. |
