i have an intresting qustion ..
if you have 3 wishes what would you wish 4 ?

1. to be content with my life
2. find a good woman to share my contented life with
3, great health for all my family and friends

1) To be able to travel forward and backward in time as often as I wished. This wish alone would help obtain many other sub-wishes, such as buying a parlor sized grand piano, because I could predict the stock market and make millions.
Essentially, this wish would address almost all of my material needs and wants.

2) To stay 25 forever, whilst possessing a mind that learns without crystallizing in old age, without senility or dementia. This, together with wish #1 would enable me to see all of the world.

3) My last wish would be that no infants or children would ever die. Once they are mature, nature steps in and culls the species as always (or man himself as in wars, crime etc.), with the same unbiased scythe, but at least there would be no child deaths. This kind of death is the most painful and saddest of all the kinds of deaths. I understand nature's need for death and even its benefit, but to keep children from dying would remove some of humanity's suffering and mourning.

Wish 1: The knowledge required to construct the medical equipment required to produce a perfect clone of myself and to produce the proper cybernetic implants to allow 100% data transference from my own brain into the brain of my clone (with continual real-time updates to the point of death), effectively allowing me to achieve a state as close to immortality as any person has thus far gained.

Wish 2: The funds required for construction of said equipment, as well as facilities for continued genetic and cybernetic research, which would of course result in gaining additional funds from both the public and private sectors which I can then use for other fields of research... like space travel.

Wish 3: I'll figure that one out some time within the next million years.

1: Vampirism. Not the Twilight kind, the actual kind. I would live forever and see the world, I would never have to perform the ritual of eating again and I would never have to worry about health.

2: For 1 to happen soon.

3: For 1 to happen tomorrow night.

Why is it always 3 wishes? Why not 2 ... or 15?

I like the way that "I Dream of Genie" dealt with it ... a genie gets a crush on the guy who rescues her from the bottle and the wishes, should he want them, are available in unlimited supply.

1- To wake up tomorrow with the body I want, instead of this sagging sack of flesh.

2- A decent pay rise so I can move out of my parents house to a few miles away in the green belt countryside near where I live.

3- The ability to hear the speech/communication of animals and the natural world. Imagine the things you'd hear!!!!!

I meant "I Dream of Jeanie", of course.

The money to finish my degree and move, the funds and means to fight injustice in the world on a large scale, and the funds and means to also establish a farm sanctuary.

1) The ability to change my apearance in a moments notice (I'm not so upset at the idea of dying one day I just don't want to look like a frail old woman ever)

2) Invisible wings that had absolutely no effect on how I wore my clothes. That way I could fly around but still look completly normal, plus, wings are interesting in general.

3) To never have to work or worry about money, not necessarily be rich just be able to live comfortably and not work

1. The time, leisure, training and work ethic to become absolutely phenomenal at art. I don't want to be
2. Good health, active mind, and loving companionship.
3. Enough money to not have to worry about it (and therefore be able to produce whatever art I want, and not have to worry about selling it or having a day job).

Working, sleeping and arting. They take up most of my time, and I'm taking a break from the last. I have largely exhausted the first-layer possibilities of a still life of four tortellini. I have also been ill for the last 7 or so months, which is why the abundance of sleeping. Don't know what it is...

1. Time Control. Including sending specific objects back in time, or returning objects to what they were, or what they will be (a cheap way of immortality)

Yeah, I did, actually. Because that would be a better wish. I suppose you WOULD wish for those other things because they WOULD be beyond your grasp. It makes sense that you'd have to wish for them.

i have other dreams than that lol, those are just... well the ones on my mind lately haha. id like to own a cafe/ shop and a gallary, i want to get married and have kids, live in a house with a big yard for a garden and playing, those are my biggest dreams lol.

On second thought I think I`ll change my wish for a degree to my wish for shapeshifting abilities.

You can wish for fucking anything, possible or not, and you wish for things that will happen eventually? Except for the last one, wishing for that sounds like something out of the Corrupted Wishes thread.
And besides, why do you feel the need to change what you want based on what we say?

By the way, I was thinking of the Corrupted Wishes thread when I read that third wish ... and I thought to myself, what if you got that wish.

Suppose you were granted that you would always be with your love forever ... and then you fell out of love and started fighting like you couldn't stand each other? (Because, lets face it, the odds on the romance lottery are long and a majority of relationships go bad for one reason or another.)

So what would you do then, stuck because of your wish with a person you didn't want to hang around with? Hmmmmm ...

1. For my following wishes to be taken and fullfilled in the way that I intend.

well its not exactly changed. modified i guess would be the right word.

I wish I could magically conjure food, that actually taste like it would if I made it from scratch (or else it wouldn't be much of a wish as I could get the same thing from a grocery store) and when I conjure said food it will release the same aromas as if I had actually cooked the food (after all one of the best things about homemade baked goods is the smell). I would always eat fantastic food without having to wait for everything to cook and without having loads of clean up to do, plus I could open a restaurant and make a ton of money since I wouldn't need much of any kitchen staff and I wouldn't have to pay for any ingredients.

I wish that I could fly, don't need to go super fast or anything just fly the same speed as I can run, because flying would be awesome if for no reason other then the view.

I wish that everyone was a shit ton more empathic.

Especially the sociopaths.

The intent was that is would not cost them any life or engery or anything to change it. The effect however, may. Like if I changed the world to the zombie apocolypse to see how long everyone made it while I lived out a fantasy of being some mavrick zombie hunter badass, it would cost a lot of people their lives. Not mine though, imortality is 2nd on the list of the things I would change. Then I could just undo everything back to current day.
