the stereo :D

I play the Thought Destroying Brain-Wave Machine, power tools, and a little bit of guitar.

bass, guitar (mainly with e-bow), keyboards, some percussions, a bit of mandolina...

tenor sax, flute, tuba, trumpet, ocarina, trombone, piano, and harmonica. I am a major band geek and I am proud of it. My favorite is the flute though, it's the prettiest sounding one.

That's pretty much what mine looks like.

Saxophone and guitar (which I need to fix). I bought a clarinet that needs to be overhauled so I can try some creepy jazz tunes.

It seems like its been ages since anyone has talked about musical instruments, or what people love to play, or compose with their instruments.


I dont think there is a day that goes by when I dont play an instrument, music to me is like breathing.

I play everything extremely badly.

I'm about as good at not playing in time as The Shaggs, but they were probably a little better. My musical abilities are extremely rudimentary, and I'm not proud of that, it's just unfair to deny it.

That's basically why I started making noise instead. :)

The best way to learn to play in time or improve your timing is to use a metronome for any piece of music your working on and set it to the slowest tempo.

Then you take the riff or melody in baby steps one note at a time until you are familiar with the notes and time signature of that riff or melody.

As you get more comfortable with playing that passage of music, you can then gradually increase the tempo, until you are comfortable with playing the song at full tempo.

music is my life, i dont study it but one of my career aspects is to be a lutier/musical desighn, building guitars and piano's ect

The OP asked: There is no such thing as an INTUMENT. The closest word to that would be "entombment", which might be fitting for a Gothic site but not what the poster meant.

If I was a musician, I would be embarrassed to misspell the word that badly.

By the way, I fool around with keebords from time to time, and have ambitions to make and learn to play a yookelaylee soon.

im trying to play piano.. im teaching myself.. somehow... but watching youtube tutorials are better, despite the gay internet being capped 24/7 :confused:

Bass, keys, sequencers, voice, mind. Craving for a couple guitars (acoustic, electric) to experiment.

I'm trying to teach myself how to play the Ocarina. I can play a couple short songs already, but as far as scales and tuning goes...they need work.

Trumpet, electric guitar, general rhythm-ish keyboard stuff, harmonica, bass guitar, AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST THE INSTRUMENT WE ALL FORGOT ABOUT: the recorder. :B

I also sing Tenor I, if any of you are familiar with choir parts.

I forgot, I also use to play the Alto Saxophone during Jr High (7-9th grade). After 9th grade was done, though, I never touched that instrument again. In fact, I've probably forgotten how to play it by now. I wish I can find the same motivation to play my Ocarina like I did with my Saxophone, which was required to pass band class.

Electric guitar. Mostly Heavy metal. Of course i think there is a problem with either the preamp tubes or power tubes on my amp,it seems to make a very loud banging sound at times.

Used to play piano,clarinet and bassoon, but it's been so long I think I'd forget how.

I would take it in to your nearest music shop and get that fixed ASAP, and if the amp is still under warantee from the music store you got it from, I would reccomend getting it replaced with a fresh amp. Also write to the manufacturer and let them know the problem, they will be able to advise you properly !!!. :)

May I ask what type of amp it is, and is it a head or combo ?

Vocals: Been told I have an Elvis/Danzig quality to my voice for a long time.

Here's something that scared me though: Was listening to Rozz Williams solo stuff and him covering Dream A Little Dream I was over at my parents place listening to it till dinner was ready then bolting for home. My mom has heard me sing before.

She commented on how she liked how I sang Dream A Little Dream. I asked "Was it while I was in the computer room you heard that?" She confirmed it and I went wide eyed, pale and a chill went down my spine. My mom just compared me to one of the vocalists I hold in high regards when it comes to singing. Scary!

I've been adding xylophone, jam-blocks and toy-piano to the list of instruments I butcher ; thinking of trying some banjo, too.

I don't play everything else but I want to.

I can play the flute but my best instrument is my voice.

I've been trying to teach myself bass for a little bit.
I'd also love to learn how to drum.
