Which questions are you talking about?

† ÐJ Ðårk † 10-15-2011 11:53 AM

KK, those questions...

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)

IT pro. Code, code, code. Hobbies: my dog, to make some tunes, nature.

2. Where are you from?

Valencia, Spain.

3. Who is your favorite author?

Poe.

4. What are your favorite films?

The Hunger. Blade Runner.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?

Nope. No wedding. Maybe some weeding, but I'm not into drugs since years ago. Anyway, if you see me marrying someone, play some Schubert in your iThing and keep that silly smile.

6. At your funeral?

I will not care. Play whatever you want.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?

Wise.

8. What kind of casket would you want?

No casket for me when died. I prefer it while alive. Ashes.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?

Black.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?

Nothing.

11. What's your favorite band?

Too many. You couldn't understand why I love Japan and Pink Floyd and Cocteau Twins and Durruti Column and Prokofiev and Black Sabbath at the same time.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?

Life education. Technology education. Respect education.

13. Why did you join?

Curiosity killed the black cat, so my dog and I needed to come here and explore for a while.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?

Hmmm... hahahah :) My lovers said I'm a man... hope they keep saying it.

Thank you. To know a bit more about me and listen/DL my musics & sessions, if interested, I have a site: www.djdark.es (Spanish & English) so feel free to explore a bit.

Maybe you'll find something interesting there. Greetings!

PS: Everything in my web is free / CC. Work is to make money, passion is to enjoy...

Welcome Kate, I'm a newcomer just as you, but... everyone loves to feel welcomed. Better if you open a new thread, I guess.

carakitty 10-16-2011 09:23 AM

Dear DJ Dark's Dog,
How old are you? What kind of dog are you? How did you and DJ Dark find each other? My dog wants me to ask if you are neutered or spayed and what kind of food you get. He's a bit preoccupied with food lately. Thank you for answering our questions!
Tail wags and belly rubs,
carakitty and her dog

† ÐJ Ðårk † 10-16-2011 02:14 PM

Hi carakitty, I'm Yus, ÐJ Ðårk's dog. I'm a pure German Shepherd, 6 years old (7 in December). ÐJ bought me when I was 1'5 months old and became my alpha. I'm smiling right now wondering why you're interested in if I'm spayed or not hehe... no... I'm not spayed at all, I'm a walking danger in that sense ;)

We both are Mediterranean, and our diet is famous worldwide. That means my diet is very balanced... I eat a mix between compound, fish, some bones, veggies, white meat and even legumes and red/green pepper :) I'm not fat at all, ÐJ keeps me strong and healthy... probably those long walks across the forests near home and all the play we have make me stronger and happier than a common "city dog".

Get a sweet lick on your face from a happy big GS :)
Yus.

Beowulf 10-16-2011 03:14 PM

Hello and welcome, I hope you enjoy your time here !!!. :)

carakitty 10-16-2011 10:28 PM

Woof woof and a butt-sniff, Yus! carakitty's dog here ;)

Sounds like your Dad does home cooking for you. One lucky dog! My parents get me store bought dog food usually but at least they are nice enough to get good stuff and supplement with canned. I had a bit of an upset tummy lately so they have been giving me plain fresh cooked chicken and rice mixed with my regular food. They think the kibble is the problem so it's just been yummy canned along side the chicken and rice!

I asked if you were neutered or spayed because I was trying to be suave about determining your gender.

I think I will be turning 8 soon. My bad mama forgot when my birthday is though, and I can't keep track of things like that!

Thank you Beowulf, I feel comfortable here so far, the contents of gnet are really nice... and there's no "Likes" from FlockBook bugging my eyes... this looks like a good place to hang ^^

Good morning from Spain!

Wof, carakitty's dog :) Will you tell me your name when we get more confident?

I'm so glad your tummy improved, and certainly kibble could be the problem if they aren't enough-quality products, tell your parents to be as picky as they can with those kibble, to switch between different brands on a month-basis (so we don't get bored) and mix them with fresh, good veggies and home cooked stuff including fish since our digestive system is way similar to human's. Regular exercise is a must for us as well, its importance depends a bit on the breed, but all of us love to walk, run, jump and play frequently with woods or toys (or all day hehe).

Well, I'm a male... dominant and alpha to other dogs, loyal and sweet to humans, specially my alpha. Our bond is very strong. My genetics are pure enough to tell -any- other dog (but some pretty females huh) I'm the one in control, so... some humans are afraid of me. Anyway, I don't care, I am who I am and my alpha loves me this way.

Hope your Mama determines a bday for you (even if it's not the real one) and makes a sweet celebration so you get back some of the love you give them every day ;)

Anyway, in December I'll have a thought for you ;)

Have a nice and quiet dogday... *licks your muzzle sweetly*

Grausamkeit 10-17-2011 07:03 AM

Wow............

carakitty 10-17-2011 08:33 AM

Who, us, Wolfie? ;) I'm just having a little fun. I know I'm not the only one who imagines what it's like to get in their pet's head!

Grausamkeit 10-17-2011 09:07 PM

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been too exciting in my cat's head.

carakitty 10-17-2011 09:41 PM

See, so many people say that. I am personally convinced that the most harmful beings are the ones who look totally boring and 'normal' on the outside. Think about all those boring, normal mass murderers and serial killers out there. Nobody ever suspects them. The neighbors always say stuff like "Oh, he was a quiet sort of man. Liked fetching the newspapers in his bath robe." Then BAM half of a city is dust in the wind *shivers*

I'm sure you probably are right, things probably are not very exciting in your cat's head but mine? Glancing over my shoulder frequently proves to be a good thing. :D

I just realized you never said a thing about your cat's appearance of normalcy and I just went off running with that tangent up there.

† ÐJ Ðårk † 10-17-2011 09:54 PM

I just can add to this thread tangent that pets must think about we humans "those guys are weird as hell" lol.

Grausamkeit 10-18-2011 10:34 AM

Yeah, people have a tendency on this forum to read more into what I say than what is really there. I'm used to it.

† ÐJ Ðårk † 10-18-2011 02:09 PM

*Lights a cigarrette just because it's almost illegal and sits comfortably (numb), observing* Me, not Yus. He sleeps right now.

carakitty 10-18-2011 04:12 PM

LOL DJ. It's that time of year where I get cigarette cravings. Something about the chilly weather does it every time. My dog is sleeping too, or at least pretending that he is.

Sorry Wolfie, I didn't mean to hit a sore spot :( It's my own fault, I often get on very assumptive kicks.

Grausamkeit 10-18-2011 07:27 PM

It's okay. I think I'm just having one of those weeks.

Bitchy, crabby, whiny, ya know.

:(

You finally got the cat and you didn't tell me?!

As for you Mr Dark I hope you encounter our resident elder Goth Humaine Pain I'm sure you two would have plenty to talk about. He's even an IT professional like yourself.

Thank you Sir, I'm sure our paths will cross some day and I hope we'll talk about something more than webs and databases... please! Hahah

carakitty 10-20-2011 08:26 AM

But DJ, talking about webs makes you sound gothier! lol

I found the Vet records for my doggy. Chief will 7 on November 7th. :D

Don't worry he's barely able to talk about what he does due to security reasons. He's also a proud grandfather, and I'm sure could have plenty of discussion with you on music. Though he has been less active here than usual as of late.

I actually, given my half Spanish ancestry, rather like the idea of having an actual Spaniard on these forums. I hope to visit Spain someday.

Cool! Yus is almost the same age as Chief... pet him between the ears and share pics of him, I'd like to see him ;)

About code... hehe, code is sexy hmmm? LOL. My web is "gothlooking", but my other developments aren't goth at all, unfortunately. I was near to make a site for a local goth muse but we didn't find a reasonable way to make a quality product. Blah. Money. A true pity. Yes, I got your sense, but I'm blablabling my discourse... ^^

I understand him completely, sometimes, if working for Government or big companies, it can be dangerous to reveal procedures and/or ways to treat certain information pieces. Anyway, I'll be glad to talk to him about technology, music, arts or whatever we find interesting.

So you have Spanish ancestors... how nice :) Where they came from?

This country is very diverse and influences, habits, even foods are very different from north to south. I was born and live in our "middle east", so my influences are 100% latin. Not the latin a US citizen could understand at a first glance (South American, mainly)... I mean latin from the old Rome and Phoenicia. Spain was a territory of Rome for centuries and Phoenicians traded with us for centuries as well... there are many interesting ruins of those cultures around. In the northwest, you can find pure Celtic culture, and Arabic in the south. So this country looks like a big cultural crossroad.

I'll be glad to help you if you want to know more about cities to visit here, interesting spots, good gastronomy, clubbing, etc.

carakitty 10-20-2011 02:51 PM

Yes, DJ, geekissexy and I have the shirt to prove it!

I'll go spam the picture thread later tonight or tomorrow perhaps, just for you.

I'll do the same as soon as I find the way to UL a pic, just for you too.

Yep I'm well aware of those bits of Spain's history, the Spanish bagpipes, and how blue blood involves how the upper class was identified by the blue blood veins visible in the skin differentiating them from the darker skinned moors. Heh I've always been rather fond of history really.

My own ancestry actually traces to Spain back through Colombia, though they didn't mix with the natives. It was from Colombia that eventually my grandparents left and moved here to the United States. From what little I've heard my ancestors came from the Atlantic side of Spain aka the north east. However the source of where in Spain my ancestors are from isn't really that reliable, I've been trying to find out who in my family might know more.

The problem is the family member who was really doing the research into our Genealogy was my grandfather, and back when I was 11(before I became really interested in the family history) he suffered a severe head trauma, which while he did survive, it rendered almost all knowledge inaccessible. It was a shame really, he was a very smart man, able to speak many different languages fluently (I think it was 11 languages). It was only last year that a second head trauma finally ended his life, this trauma caused by him falling while attempting to help out with heavy yard work, which he did as a result of the first trauma severely reducing his IQ.

Grausamkeit 10-20-2011 06:19 PM

Ren, I did not get the cat. Notice the past tense usage in my sentence.

I think you'll find many interesting paths of investigation (and probably answers to some questions about tastes and feelings) taking a look over Galician culture. Aside that, Galicia is a very beautiful land, plenty of history.
