I love System of a Down, I saw them at the start of the year, at Big Day Out in Melbourne and they were soo so good, I was going through a really bad time in my life when I first heard them and ever since there music is like a comfort blanket to me.

You know what? FUCK YOU. If you're gonna love System of a Down (see? That's how you spell it!), do so because of their politics, riffs, zany Armenian folk-influences or whatever. Not for "no reson (sic)". I can't understand how it's possible for someone to be so stupid that they don't even know why they like something. Yes, stupid. That's what you are. Criminally so, even.

I don't like system of a down, that weird screaming thing gets annoying, the frustrating thing is that there music is amazing, and there vocals, when they sing are good too, thats why the only song i like is toxicity

i listen to them,but just listen not more...don't know lyrics and even dont try to understand what they want to tell,i'm just trying to take the taste of the music.in fact as a Turk i hate their opinions about us,especially the word said by them "dogs and Turks are not allowed" made me loathe them!i'm not agains Armenian people in fact as every Turk want to be in good terms with them but sure dont accept the genocide,i'm disgusted with their awful opinions!however i think thats not the right place to talk about politics sorry,so briefly....i like the music they do...

I don't like System of a Down so much anymore, but in seeventh grade they were probably the band that got me listening to different kinds of music. I guess I liked the Armenian influence... it just adds something. I think they lost it by "Steal This Album". That song about the Kabucha Mushroom people was pretty cool, but my favorite was probably Toxicity. I don't feel right using present tense because I don't really listen to them any more.

I like that, short and sweet.
I saw them live at Big Day out 2002 in Aukland, New Zealand, and that was completely insane. lots of blood and broken limbs, but i was younger then.
Don't do much of the heavy music thing these days, and i find their politics rather shallow. americans deserve a crap goverment if only just over half of them are going to get off their asses and vote. stop whining.

Well I do like System of a Down, Most of their music appeals to me, I have very varied tastes in music. I like System of a Down because of their wonderful guitar riffs, their excellent vocalist, their brilliant back-up singer ((forgive me, I don't know their names)) and mainly because of the feeling their music gives. My favourite songs are Chop Suey, Toxicity, and ATWA.

Some of their lyrics make little sense to me, otherwise they have some really good lyrics ^_^, and that's about all I have to say about System of a Down.

system are ace, when i 1st started my transition from chav-type person to what i am now i had never heard aything system, chop suey being the 1st thing of theirs i heard. nothing beats a little of chop suey, toxicity and b.y.o.b in the morning

I wasn't a fan of their politics, so I gave away my backstage pass when we first got to the concert (my co-worker wasn't estatic about it, but at the same time she was too nervous to want to go) but their concert blew me away, enough to get their newest CD.

who here has heard their new album already? it got leaked over the net! i got it last night as my boyfriend sent it to me through msn....haven't heard the last few tracks but the album so far has been amazing!!

I woz actually going to ask that, luckily i read the thread through. I LOVE MUDVAYNE. Its funny coz i was introduced to mudvayne by someone who loves system of a down, they kind of have the same style i guess... I AM GOING TO THE MUDVAYNE CONCERT ON THE 24TH OF JAN! oh and i also love love LOVE soad!

i didn't even see that question about mudvayne...i love them!! haven't heard much stuff by them though but i love what i've heard!

System's new album...is amazing...not sure if i like that or mezmerize better or like them both the same yet as i've only listened to the new album once!

Hypnotize is the second cd of Mezmerize that's why they were realized not that long after one another....They are both amazing albums...i think i prefer Mezmerize but it's too hard to tell as i've only listened to the new one once!!

I love System of a Down.. I love their lyrics. And the folk influences in their music. Man, I'd do anything to see them live.. that's be awesome. Don't think they've ever come to my town though.. from what I know, anyway. Oh well, I'll wait :) .

I really like system. I like the craziness of their music and the way, unlike the people who are "against" them, don't take themselves seriously.

I much perefer their first two albums though, especially their first(which I'm listening to now). It annoys me that so many kids only got into them with Mesmerize, which is hardly their best album.

I think I liked them better when they weren't as directly political, though it really peaves me when people say how shit SOAD are because of their politics, yet still claim that they appreciate and respect the opinions of other people when arguing with liberals.

Neo-Cons piss me off, and I'm glad SOAD annoy them.
