How do you like to dress?

I like to wear black and white Gothic ****** dresses. But I usually just wear black tight pants, a gothic shirt, long gloves, lots of metal/rubber braceletes, and shoes with skulls, cobwebs, spiders...all that stuff.

Underwater Ophelia 09-28-2007 04:42 PM

Sexfully...

emoroxtheworld 09-28-2007 04:45 PM

I like to wear emo stuff such as tight pants and tight sweatshirts hood on always and I like to wear skate shoes.:)

Graveyard.Crow 09-28-2007 07:23 PM

Don't ridicule people because of their style. That's not any different than someone saying "you kill babies because you wear a lot of black"
as for me, I love Victorian/ Morticia type dresses/ just long black, purple, or red dresses/ leopard print/ lace with pretty skirts. I like the whole Victorian Vampire style, if that makes sense.

NachtSorcier 09-28-2007 07:30 PM

I was just fucking around anyway, I'm in a bit of a goofy mood.

To answer the question truthfully, I go by the K.I.S.S. rule when it comes to dress: Black jeans, t-shirts and button-ups make up the majority of my closet.

I have only two pairs of footwear besides my work shoes: A pair of black and red New Balance sneakers and a pair of black leather work-type boots.

As for coats, I have three: A simple leather jacket, a black military-style trenchcoat with safety pins in the collar and wrists, and a lovely long black coat with gold lining that I wear to more formal occasions.

Jewlery usually consists of a ring or two, a leather wrist band, a necklace, my earring and sometimes my silver spiderweb bracelet.

Graveyard.Crow 09-28-2007 07:36 PM

Hehe. Cute. XD
and sorry for attacking you
I'm in an "equality for all" kinda mood
I had a weird day...

NachtSorcier 09-28-2007 07:38 PM

Meh, bygones and all that.

Depravity 09-28-2007 08:38 PM

Comfortably. I like wearing the color black a lot. Also the color white. Sometimes together for a striking juxtaposition. Not into jeans much, as I'm overweight currently (trying to lose cheer me on!) so I tend to wear a lot of sweatpants and large loose T-shirts. My favorite T-shirt is black with the word "Angst" written in gothic script on the front.

Though I would love to get a trenchcoat...black would be fine but I would really like to get a white one.

MaverickZero 09-28-2007 08:54 PM

I have a lot of stuff from Hot Topic. Not the shitty emo garbage, but the decent pants I've found off and on. Stuff like Lip Service and Tripp. Decent stuff.

No stripes.

Mostly black, some greens. I have a nice trenchcoat, keeps me warm in the winter. I have a leather jacket I wear when I don't feel like wearing the trench. I have a fishnet shirt, that I usually wear under one of my black dress shirts.

One pair of pants from Randy River, decent pair of non-jeans. I can't stand jeans for the record, forced to live in the denim prisons for years, never again.

I have a cybermesh shirt, it coordinates well when i go to raves etc. One pair of pants that has green removable straps.

Two pairs of boots, one platform red laces, one combat style, both fairly comfortable.

and of course, my Snap-on steel toed shoes.

I have a Legend of Zelda t-shirt, a Super Mario 3 t-shirt, and thats all I can remember at the moment

dark_dragon_of_ice 09-29-2007 12:12 AM

I wear my exoskeleton.

Cicero 09-29-2007 02:56 AM

Ripped up tights, velvety/pinstripey/black-and-white-stripey/fishnety items, a lot of satin-y dress shirts, lots of silver jewellery, and my $10 jacket smothered in patches, pins and glow-in-the-dark bones. Also boots. Lots of buckley/leathery/lace-up-y boots. And corsets on occassion, with belts and hats and gloves and parasols.

honeythorn 09-29-2007 05:48 AM

Floor length velvet skirts, I do wear wide legged trousers, but only because they are the only things to fit my redwood sized legs, vest tops , many of which now have band names and logos painted on them, I have just finished an SGC one with safety pins ect..^^ , As much lace as I can find ( lace shirts and tops ) a little satin ( too much shows the flab ) , some fishnet/cobweb style tops and I have now bought a cobweb/mesh skirt..I have 2 long velvet coats, one dark purple with embroidery at the bottom, and one black, slightly military in style, with a pale purple silk lining.

TopHaggardDoll 09-29-2007 06:28 AM

I love dressing like a Deathrock Secretary or like a reject from a romantic vampire novel.....it's all good... :D!

Graveyard.Crow 09-29-2007 10:31 AM

Oh yea, I like to dress as a vampire secretary too, I heard it suits me (puts on glasses that she doesn't really need)

badteccy 09-29-2007 10:32 AM

My birthday suit.

Graveyard.Crow 09-29-2007 10:36 AM

Oh baby hehe

L'Oiseau Noir 09-29-2007 10:46 AM

I usually wear things like Tripp pants (not the kind that is overloaded with chains, spikes, studs, and all that gaudy stuff; they're basically straight-legged that you can flare out if you wish to).

Hmm... I also wear regular black T-shirts I've bought at Target or Wal-Mart, my favorite one being a gray picture of Johny Depp in his Jack Sparrow get-up, with sparrows flying diagonally across the shirt (I can't help it, I absolutely love Pirates of the Caribbean). Oh, and "long-shorts" with a white trim.

Pinstripe pants is another thing I'll usually wear, and I tuck the hems into my boots, or I'll wear a black pair of slacks. I usually wear my studded bracelet and crucifix choker (which I made myself, thank you very much), combat-type boots, fisnet under my shirts, a couple of lacy tops, my ruffled "poet" shirt as I call it (I absolutely love it), clasp-jacket, and my pleated skirt and striped stockings.

Nothing extravagant... yet at least.

crucifix 09-29-2007 11:46 AM

I am into looking well put together yet dark and mysterious and, well, honestly, goth. I dress kinda like a corporate goth because my job does not allow me to dress how ever the hell I want.

raineofblood 09-30-2007 10:15 AM

I wear clothes. Every. Day. :O

KontanKarite 09-30-2007 11:08 AM

Fashion is attitude. I like to dress how I feel at the time. I know that sounds sorta cliche' as all get out. But alas. Dress as I feel or I dress for fun.

I've worn everything from tripp pants to dresses or skirts to very Victorian male. I've done cyber, deathrocker, steampunk, androgyny, victorian, and simple black suits and military wear.

Fashion is fucking fun.

Same here, pretty much. I try out different things and wear what I like. If it doesn't suit me, I shred the hell out of it and make something new. My mother has deemed my closet the "Frankencloset" because so much is made up of different parts from old things I don't wear anymore ect. and a lot of fun DIY stuff. My current favorite untouched article of clothing is this really nice velvet skirt I got on sale for $15, normally $65! woot :) I'm also cheap and if I'm shopping I head right to the sale racks before anything else.

Green.Lady 09-30-2007 03:12 PM

I rarely wear pants of any sort, but I have black jeans if I need them. Dresses. Black coats and sweaters. Jewelry. Boots or heels. Some blouses, skirts, and button-ups. Tights.

I like to mix structured pieces with flowy pieces. I'm sort of like kwaniesiam - I'm not a big spender and am always hunting for cheap clothes. I like thrift stores, too.

Colourwise: black, purple, red, green, gray - and that's pretty much it.

thedoll 09-30-2007 06:48 PM

i wear jeans and tee shirt when i have class in the morning and am too lazy to put something together.

I really only dress up when I'm bored or going to an event, I'm a lazy goth...

Damn right it is! I totally agree with you as I pretty much like to buy or sew my outfits to dress the way I want to.

OH L'Oiseau Noir, I see you have a thing for pinstripes as well? I am a sucker for pinstripes myself. I have quite a number of pinstripe outfits that I mostly made myself.

DarkPrayer 10-01-2007 01:40 PM

Wow! So many different styles! It's really cool to see how others dress up. ^.^ It seems a lot of people like jeans.

maggot 10-01-2007 05:51 PM

MARPAT pants, black tee shirt, 5 necklaces that never come off my neck, combat boots.

Plain and simple.

moonlightrose 10-02-2007 04:38 PM

I love Victorian clothes, but I don't really own much of that style, though I wish I did. I usually wear jeans, a black t-shirt, converses, and a black sweatshirt and a choker. That's until I get a chance to get new clothes because I grew out of some. I love lace gloves and chokers, though.

VisciaDacia 10-07-2007 02:03 AM

I'm quite the babygoth here...I love the Victorian and l0lita styles although I'm rather poor and not technically skilled at creating clothing, so I don't have many clothing of such types. I like to keep the colors to a minimum--I'm almost always wearing black and/or grey, though I like white too, and I especially like these together--and I favor knee-length or short skirts and simple dresses. I have some random brightly-colored pieces as well and I like to find odd clothing at Salvation Army (my bright blue leopard-print jacket comes to mind). I have plenty of teeshirts and sweaters and I wear black jeans most frequently, and my shoes generally consist of quirky or simple flats or slip-on shoes for comfort. I'll admit I own quite a few accessories and shirts from Hot Topic but I don't look like a complete fashion victim, I promise! So I guess you would say I'm eclectic but in a safe way :/

Romantic Raven 10-07-2007 06:47 AM

My wardrobe consists of Victorian clothes: lacey shirts, gloves, mid- and floor-length skirts (I absolutely hate pants) and high-heeled shoes. I'm a bit reluctant to wearing colours, I tend to stick to black. I'm not too good at DIY, but I manage to find clothes I like by searching for them in random shops; it takes a lot of digging, but they usually turn up in the most unexpected places.

Graveyard.Crow 10-07-2007 03:05 PM

everyone who likes Victoria styles send me your myspace XD

Yeah, I love pinstripes. xD

I have two pairs of pinstripe pants, and a pinstripe blouse.

Plain and simple.

O_O? Even when you sleep? Isn't it uncomfortable to jangle all the time?

Someone described me perfectly the other night. Preppy vampire :D

I bet if you saw me, you would think I was some emo poser because I don't dress gothic at all. Jeans, a t-shirt....preferably something that isn't annoyingly cheerful...and a belt. Converses are essential for me, as are my Reeboks: gym shoes, because Converses are painful for soccer.

Right there with ya!! I dress up when I'm in the mood, but most of my everyday stuff is black, red or blue. I've got a dark blue velvet shirt that is so awesome, feels wonderful on skin, and many black pants. My fave is this black bondage-type shirt. It laces up the front, back and sleeves and is remarkedly confortable. Shoes are whatever floats my boat at the moment.

KontanKarite 10-09-2007 05:49 PM

I've found myself being very minimalistic as of late. I almost look like a beatnick. (sp)

Slightly form fitting black jeans and black form fitting tee shirts, long and short sleeved.

That's a good look. I'm a huge fan of minimalism.

KontanKarite 10-09-2007 06:15 PM

Yeah, I find it suits me quite well. Great way to really look fab without really going all out.

Don't know about others but I wouldn't think anything negative about you until I talked to you. I'm a big fan of getting to know people first.

ForgetThisLostLenore 10-09-2007 07:19 PM

Well I've been pulling through these last couple weeks without any boots, which are my main shoes. So I've been wearing most of my skirts with regular striped socks and mary janes. I wear shirts layered over each other a lot, and usually an undershirt in a jewel tone. I really need to do wask though.

killer_asian_Dax 10-09-2007 07:40 PM

I like to dress in clothing. Usually of the pants and top variety.

Graveyard.Crow 10-09-2007 07:51 PM

That's effin amazing

Temptation 10-09-2007 09:36 PM

Hmmm...what do I wear? Usually just a pair of jeans and a shirt. Sometimes I attempt to mix a little variety in (coats, chains, fishnets, etc).
I really don't bother much anymore, I don't have time to plan out an outfit.

Godslayer Jillian 10-09-2007 09:49 PM

My clothing is a conglomeration of things that don't look gothic in themselves. I have dress shirts, polos, and T-shirts all in black, white, and red; that's nine possibilities. Then I have stuff like my ripped shirt, my Siouxsie shirt, Bauhuas shirt, a striped long-sleeved shirt, a striped purple/black long sleeve (quite emo, but it looks nice), some dark tone sweaters... all with black pants always.
They're quite simple alone; the only thing that makes them a little gothic is the predominant black, my hair, fishnets or disposable stockings improvised as undershirts, and the leather jacket now that we're in autumn.

DeathChii 10-09-2007 09:52 PM

I wear skin cells =]
