I'll abstain from giving my opinion of the band you mention, but I will say that my current non-goth obsessions are as follows:

The New Pornographers - "All for Swinging You Around" is an amazing song.
Blondie's "Hanging On The Telephone" is a song that reminds me of our now defunct indie/hipster bar Uncle Joe's. The DJs would play that and the floor would erupt!
The Runaways - "Cherry Bomb."
Electric Six - "I'm the Bomb"
XRay Spex - "Oh Bondage Up Yours"

I like all kinds of punk. Pop-punk, Hardcore Punk, Softcore Punk, Emo-punk. I just like the sound of it all. Actually, any kind of rock is good for me.:D

I like Puddle of Mudd but and its good music to listen to for the first five songs. The song "She Hates Me" brings back memories of a bad relationship for me. but other than that one song some of it isnt so bad.

Almost anything that is rock ill listen to. Most Pop-punk makes me want to claw my ears out. but any other kind of punk ill listen to, especially if its hard core punk. A.F.I. is my favorite rock band. They're mostly considered goth rock now but is also under the hardcore-punk genre.

Country music has recently come into my area of music preference. Like alcohol by Brad Paisley, and this other song that i can't get out of my head. Becoming a Nuiscence.

I have become a rap/hip-hop addict. It's all about Control Machete.

Oh, yeah, and then there's Hanson.

I would say industrial although some of that falls into the category of goth and old school punk like, Crass, Conflict, Crucifucks, MDC and Rudimentary Peni. I hate that new shit they call Punk Rock like Green Day

Ah, the things that I read from Xnguela, you somehow always make me laugh are you a comedian?.........anywayz back to the subject, i listen to a lot of metal mostly including bands like Therion, Dream Theater, Stratovarious, Sentenced, etc.

Lots of stuff. Rock wise, visual kei, psychadelic, glam, metal, all kinds of jazz. I also like jazz, tribal stuff, raggae, all kinds of stuff.

Yeah, I gotta admit I am a HUGE rap fan...Look, I can appreciate any kind of music really, My favourite *non goth* bands, well, are Red Hot Chili Peppers ( I will heart them forever) The Smashing Pumpkins, KMFDM, Tool, Opeth, Jane's Addiction...GORILLAZ ( loved them since their first album), Nekromantix and Pantera...Well, there's more but I can't be bothered.

I like all music except new pop and country(I love Johnny Cash, Jennings and the old western crap) and I dislike new age crap like kennyG. I also despise Good Charlotte!!! Die Good Charlotte!! The new production rock thats all sounds the same I could do without. Die hair metal!

My music tastes are varied outside of the goth scene. Some choice favorites: Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, Cradle of Filth, Iced Earth, Rasputina, Smashing Pumpkins, Rammstein, VNV Nation, Enya, Tool, Opeth, and Zeromancer.

I would include NIN in this list, but lord Sir Reznor broke my heard with that last album.

I have been completely obssessed with Tool and APC, lately.

I have been listening to their albums over and over for the past three days.

Meh, to go with the actual thread, I like Tubular Bells, Classical, Renaissance, Opera, Swing/Big Band, Hindi pop and classical, Middle Eastern pop and classical (ha ha, you should hear my dad sing "Ishkidaar"), !!VISKEI!!, electronica, techno, trance, video game music, random people like Beck and David bowie, and even some old punk. For some reason the Sex Pistols seem like punk Bauhaus and the Clash like punk Cure... or vice versa... or maybe I'm nuts. I like a lot of stuff, basically.

and if this doesn't count (dammit, I think it does count) industrial, ebm, future pop, idm, darkwave, yadayadayada.

yeah, I like saliva lots too. Im really enjoying Seether and Jack Johnson. Been getting into Juanes songs.. Also, Missy Higgins, a new addition to my favorites list.

New Wave, Electro, Punk, Indian music( I love belly dancing). I really like "My Humps" , from the Black Eyed Peas. That song makes me freak dance like the black chicks. LOL
