Eye shadow!

What color would you prefer for your blinks ?

Miss Cogs 11-26-2007 01:39 PM

Black or dark blue.

electrosexual 11-26-2007 02:00 PM

Neon green, black or cerulean blue.

moonlightrose 11-26-2007 05:01 PM

Black, Silver, Plum, Dark Green, or Dark Purple

Noumi 11-27-2007 10:05 AM

I like purple myself, I think it looks great gently mixed with black

ApothoKeri 11-27-2007 10:11 AM

I use a deep purple/eggplant shade, applied in a pretty normal way of doing a smoky eye and I add a little shimmer white just under the brow to contrast and add a glowing effect.

I use the dark purple mixed with black on the outsides of my eyelids, and the silvery green on the insides. It looks LOVELY.

AngelikDemonik 11-27-2007 10:46 AM

It depends on my mood...I tend to blend all sorts of colors for nice effects. I purchased an eyeshadow kit with over 90 colors. It's fun. I'm currently wearing red and silver.

Mon Coeur Noir 11-27-2007 11:30 AM

White, Red, Blue, Black, Purple, Gold & Green,....all at the same time.

TopHaggardDoll 11-27-2007 11:46 AM

Red...purple....neon green...black...white...dark blue.......I like alot of colours...I need alot of colours to match my daily themes.

I like black on the upper lid and then I also lightly apply some grey to my under eye area and the place in the socket near the bridge of the nose to give them a sunken look

Linen 12-07-2007 05:56 AM

black, shimmery white, shades of grey, various shades of purple, shimmery green, red, shimmery midnight blue, etc.

I should try silver... not sure why I never thought of that. :D

Noumi 12-08-2007 06:00 AM

I like brown too, a lot.

Opteron_Man 12-08-2007 06:43 PM

i like black.

yoUr_8tHdeaDlysIn 12-08-2007 08:33 PM

black, neon blue, green, purple all at the same time :P

Opteron_Man 12-11-2007 12:26 PM

blacks good

Malice In Wonderland 12-14-2007 01:31 PM

I wear grey or black.
But I want to get a kind of purpley/pink bruised colour.
For sunken looking eyes.

Duane 12-14-2007 01:34 PM

Grey, they would match the bags benath my eyes.

Solumina 12-15-2007 12:52 PM

I like to have lots of options, luckily just about anything looks fine with my eyes and skin tone so I have room to play around

F8hasU 02-14-2008 11:37 AM

Hot pink, red, purple, green, blue, orange, neon and all accented with black. I don't like alot of black just enough to make it darker looking.

kimaru 02-14-2008 02:02 PM

I like white, black or dark blue...dark blue is my favurite because it makes my eyes look orange...instead of brown

honeythorn 02-14-2008 02:38 PM

I like purple, red, black, metallic dark green, metallic copper, metallic bronze, dark grey, pale silver. I also use clear glitter.

I always apply my eyeshadow before eyeliner in order to make sure the eyeliner really stands out from the colour.

Arashi 02-14-2008 04:23 PM

Purple, dark blue, pink, teal, black, red, green, dark silver, metallic or glittery versions of all of the previous, and a lot of the time I wear many of those colors all at once.

Minyaliel 02-15-2008 11:12 AM

I usually wear blacks, browns or shades of blue on a daily basis. But I never really limit myself to any one colour, and amuse myself with blending many colours for interesting results. I rarely wear less than four different eyeshadows; and if you count those eyeshadows that I've used for other purposes (f.i. instead of rouge or as cheek highlights) that number will be considerably greater.

stranger 02-16-2008 01:47 PM

I don't normally wear eyeshadow but as I have grey eyes I'd LOVE to have some red eyeshadow (but I can't find red in shops, damn...) Anyway I bought some black eyeshadow today. I doubt that I'll ever wear it though.
Buying makeup is kind of difficult for me as I refuse to buy products from companies that test on animals and other companies don't always have what I want.

Dark Morbid Vampire 02-19-2008 10:59 AM

I usually wear black, dark purple or dark red

blackwater1110 02-19-2008 11:33 AM

Do you know where I can find a list of animal-friendly companies? I'd like to take this into consideration before I get mascara or powder.

Yes. Here...

That is hard to see, for me anyway I am not good in Adobe. *shrug* I am careful about that too and usually only buy Revlon and MAC and occasionally Estee Lauder. I like the colors best with MAC.

Pineapple_Juice 02-19-2008 10:10 PM

I use an orange-ish brown that was originally a hideous blush. I wish I could wear more vibrant colors (or black), but I have gross eyelids and it looks like shit. Moreover, extensive makeup of any kind tends to look like shit on me.

Opteron_Man 05-13-2008 07:21 PM

The store I like to go to ran out of black eyeliner pencils! The only ones they have, are the 'combo' type. The kind with one color on one side and another different color on the other. I bought two black/blue.
I think I will try them.

KontanKarite 05-13-2008 09:10 PM

I'm still partial to the Japanese pretty boy make up look. Yeah, not real gothy or deathrocker of me, but damn it. When it looks good, it looks good.

MotherofMercies 05-13-2008 09:25 PM

Red and purples, then I usually wear black, brown or a dark gray for eye liner.

I'm actually pretty shit with make up so I don't tend to wear a lot of it.

badteccy 05-15-2008 04:41 AM

Crazy colors, black, brown

Lux Interior Ate My Brain 05-27-2008 02:16 PM

I ultimately settle with Black and White since those are my favorite colors and they instantly match everything. And of course, no one can live without the black winged liner. Gotta have it.

Easiest place to find reds is in the blush section

I am currently not wearing eyeshadow and instead I'm just using a pearl eyeliner

HeatherCD 05-31-2008 06:57 PM

It all depends on my mood, typically deep purple or grey in girl mode, in guy mode, grey if I wear any.

honeythorn 06-01-2008 08:41 AM

For those of you who have trouble applying makeup and eyeshadow:

http://uk.youtube.com/user/panacea81

This woman has a SHITLOAD of tutorials on different styles of eyeshadow and makeup.

I warn you, she is a geordie ( from the Newcastle area of the UK for those who don't know ) and her accent is fairly strong. Also she speaks a little quickly so some may struggle to understand her. But quite frankly you don't really need to, just watch.

DarkenedReveries 06-01-2008 11:41 AM

I went to a Halloween shop and I found theatrical makeup which had a red makeup stick, among other interesting colors. I use it for eyeliner. Perhaps you could check a Halloween store around you?

Tea and Cake or Death 06-01-2008 11:46 AM

MAC sells red paint that you can use as eyeshadow. or you can smudge red lipstick with your fingers. also there is http://www.medusasmakeup.com/

manequin 06-01-2008 12:00 PM

Neon green or nothing!

DefinedRapture 06-02-2008 10:17 AM

that have the habbit of doing the black eyeshadow, if i wear redish purple lip stick. but usually i wear either orange or nothing.

Pineapple_Juice 01-18-2009 02:06 PM

When one has dark bags under one's eyes every day, would it be smarter to forgo said eyeshadow?

Unimatrix 00 01-18-2009 03:14 PM

I wear pink, blue, and black. But I've so much makeup that I just wear the first thing at hand that day. hehehehe x

Unimatrix 00 01-18-2009 03:16 PM

Oh and Pineapple_Juice baby, eyeshadow can help detract attention away from the bags. But if you've really bad dark circles, you should use a concealer. MAC do a great one called select cover up. x

I've tried this, it might work. A little dab of red (any color) food coloring with some white eyeshadow. It's cheap and easy.

Opt for navy blue mascara and eyeliner, though you should line the upper lids only. Also opt for a somewhat light and shimmery eyeshadow as it will help to brighten the whole area.

DRM 01-18-2009 09:59 PM

I wear a reddish orange, black, or purple.

girasol 01-19-2009 02:19 AM

white, beige, silver or smudged grey/black.

I am not sure whether napoleon perdis tests on animals but I am pretty sure they have eyeshadow in almost every colour and the colours are really intense.

If you can't find eyeshadow in red - try using a red or close-to-red blush on your eyes instead of eyeshadow.
