I started liking them when one (the first one I had ever seen not in a picture) looked me square in the eye while I was in middle school. It was on the ceiling of the awning outside and I looked up, then it looked at me. It was love at first sight. :D

Thanks! I too love praying mantids. I've had three, at separate times. I like how they can look alien, yet human at the same time. It's sad that they only live about nine months.

Did you know that their eyes go entirely black in the dark? It is pretty scary to turn the lights on and see that.

It's amazing I saw that guys eyes at all. He was kind of far away, but I could just feel him looking at me. That's why I like 'em. There's just some kind of energy about them.

I had a male friend in college who was terrified of praying mantises. I guess it was that whole female-eats-the-male-after-sex thing. He would even turn away from the television when Space Ghost came on for fear of seeing Zorak.

I was just thinking about a thread like this the other day, don't know how I missed it. I tend to change my background almost as much as my msn icon, so I may be posting a lot here :D

They usually vary in price.

All authetic Hello Kitty products should be manufactured in Japan, otherwise it's a fake.

The kitty products in Australia can be expensive, much more expensive than in Japan. I'm not familar with the prices of Kitty products in America, they may be cheaper than the ones sold in Australia. But I do know is that the American Tiffany & Co and perfume (such as Chanel) is a lot cheaper than Australia.
