Well, yeah. I don't consider myself a hippie. Like I said I came to that site without even realizing that it aspired to hippie-dom. It isn't "hippie" in any clear sense. I don't consider myself some dyed in the wool goth, either, but goth-friendly. More like a goth than anything. I'm an individual. Individuals can appreciate things like Scrubs. I'm not sure an absolute goth, or hippie, could.

Shouldn't complain so much. People are the way they are. I'm a weirdo and I have some very eccentric acquaintances. That's what makes it fun, we're all different. But posers and wannabes, yeah, that's sad, but even little teenagers can be sweet, even if they don't really know what they're doing.

As for that site, it says something about being hippie at the top of the page, but then again it also advertises marijuana, so...not sure what to make of that.

Some are sweet, but mostly, I take a bit of caution when approached by any teenager. I remember high school all to well.

i say if you say you are goth or emo, than you are not. being goth is not fashion, it is a way of life.

Eh, I generally go by Voltaire's What is Goth? when it comes to these things.

Just like every other subculture, I think there are different levels. Do you just like the music and the fashion, or does the darkness speak to you in ways that no one of the sunshine-filled world can possibly understand?

It's... a way of music. And it is, sad as some may be to admit it, a fashion.
Anyway. I'm a goth. I will merrily admit it. I listen to the old music and love it, I go to the gigs of the new rising bands to support them and encourage promising new waves of goth and deathrock bands to flourish. I wear tight black jeans and plenty of eyeliner and a cross in one ear and fishnet tights on my arms.
Ah well. I'll just hope that you're being ironic, shall I?

Free love and flower children and Woodstock and the late '60s to early '70s and stickin' it to The Man and Scooby Doo and Janis Joplin and long hair and peaceful prostests and singing with a guitar in the street and not selling out and not trusting anyone over 30 [or in the military] and smokin' weed and chillin' and having lots and lots of sex and long skirts for girls and tie-dye and oh look at all the pretty colors and LSD and peace signs and look at all the happy people and wear flowers in your hair if you're goin' to San Fransisco and so on and so forth.

At least, that's what -I- think of when I think of the word 'hippie'..

Those don't seem like bad characteristics in a person. At the very least, they are open, loving people. What is so bad about that? Nothing. Nothing I tells ya!
