Gothic ****** Hair?!?

For More than a decade now I've stuck primarily with the Victorian gothic look. Unfortunately, the last time I went to the hairdresser to get my hair re-dyed and trimmed, I forgot to specify that I didn't want a lot of it taken off. Needless to say, when she was don, I now have shoulder length hair.

But I digress slightly. I've been changing up my wardrobe a bit and am adding more EGA (elegant gothic ******) things to it. So, does anyone know of any good gothic ****** (or just ******, or anything else that looks good with the style) hair styles that can be done with medium length/ shoulder length hair?

I also have a slight problem because my hair is layered, so that ruins several of the ideal looks. I just need to be pointed in the right direction on where to look for idea on hair styles that match my fashion tastes so I don't continue to go out of the house looking like even more of a nut-case than I already am.

I am curious of everyone else's ideas on the topic. Arigato gozaimasu!

Have you tried spiral type curls (done with a regular curling iron) and clipped around? Like do this...

Put your top (shorter) layers in a ponytail straight up on top of your head, while curling the longer underlayers. Spiral curl the hell out of the underlayer, put the top layer free and do that too, then take some very pretty victorian or jeweled or whatever clips and pin each side up. This will make it all look one layer with the curls folded right.

"Arigato gozaimasu!"

Seriously?

But to get back on track, maybe this will help: http://ikickshins.net/curls.htm

Hey nice. I do it on occasion too, usually when I get a haircut where they take off more than I ask for or add layers when I tell them not to. :(
