Top average members!!!

We have a top best members, a top worst members... but we don't have this. What are the top 10/20/30 average members of Gothic.Net, in your opinion?

gothicusmaximus 04-09-2008 03:28 PM

you're pretty determined to make it onto a list, huh Duane?

Duane 04-09-2008 03:29 PM

No, I was just bothered by the fact no one posted this thread yet, in the midst of all the other similar threads.

No thats going to be on the top desperate members.

gothicusmaximus 04-09-2008 03:34 PM

But you do realize the entire premise of this thread makes absolutely no sense, right? Top 10 average is just the bottom half of top 20 best. Unless you mean 'most average members', in which case the thread is still dumb because they're aren't really more than 40 or so active gnet members-- everyone not included in the 'best' list or the 'worst' list can be considered 'most average'.

Duane 04-09-2008 03:36 PM

I do realize that, meh... just bored*begins strumming his guitar*.

XXChristabelXX 04-09-2008 03:52 PM

Top GNetter not to get on anyone's list because he just doesn't rate? I would say Duane, but that would defeat the purpose.

MollyMac 04-09-2008 08:50 PM

Duane, you my fave all time average-est!!!!

You are the superlative of the middle ground!

Vexik 04-10-2008 05:54 PM

I put forth that Duane is the following:

Hilarious
Radical
Party Time
Excellent
and the Duaniest

That would be me, apparently.

But no matter what, it begs the question... how does one define the top of the middle?

I offer the following opinion:

Who freaking cares?

Now, looking at the top of this page, I notice that it says "Gothic.net". Unless I'm terribly, terribly confused, I thought that being quote unquote goth involved a certain willingness buck the trends, stereotypes, and ideas of the "mainstream" culture.

Therefore, i find it odd that "you people", by which I mean the ones participating in this little charade, happily begin the process of categorizing people into into little lists, and then feeling bad when you aren't on the list. And making new lists you can be on.

I mean, not to be overly critical, but it's kind of pathetic.

Seriously, why do you give a flying crap about what other people think about you? Not to put too fine a point on it, but roughly seventy years from now you will be dead. Decomposing. Rotting in the ground. And you will either be facing God or oblivion, but in neither case will you particularly be afforded the engaging occupation of worrying about what others think of you.

So to heck with the lists already.

Well, not everyone here is goth. Some of them will even say so for themselves.

Point. Human nature is a sickeningly fascinating thing sometimes.

My first thought was the most middle person, which would be the median, I guess.
To me it would be someone that doesn't get ANY attention, whether good or bad. I'd put myself forward as the middle-middle, but I do get replied to every so often... Grrr I need to be less boring.

Xombie 04-14-2008 02:28 PM

I don't really think I say anything of much importance. Could I...be the top of the middle? =o
