Gothic mustnt be meant "die"
 

Hi, im sure most of, perhaps all of you'll be surprised but even i listen to gothic music, im not a pessimistic, i dont hate people, i dont wanna kill myself or others, i like helping human! But despite of everything i love that music style..Because its so meaningful and shows my character..For example, that lyrics from Nightwish:
" We're walkin in the air,
We're floatin in the frozen sky(...)"
Or from Epica:
"Follow your common sense, you can not hide yourself behind a fairytale,
Forever and Ever..."
I love magicful and different things in life and i think in spite of all bad people/things/evens in the life, "living" is so prescious..

Interesting how you haven't misconstrued the two concepts. I think an appreciation for the music and aesthetic is the most important base to have.

The point was that we don't think "goth" means "die".
We're not maniacally depressive, nor suicidal, nor antisocial; we're real goths.
Neither do we listen to Nightwish or Epica; we're real goths. (this last sentence is not exactly true as some enjoy Nightwish, but the point is that Nigthwish is not gothic music, I hope you know it)

Yes,Nightwish isnt a gothic metal band but some songs of them are gothic.

Nope; not really. I'm not going to hate you or judge you just because you like them, but they really have nothing to do with Goth.
Well, technically, their songs are gothic, but they're not goth. Poser bands are more gothic than real goth, but you'll learn the difference eventually.
Goth is this subculture; the on that's so distorted by the media and nerdy kids trying to be dark. Gothic, however, is an adjective to describe a form of shitty medieval Christian art, and to describe equally shitty modern music by the same nerds I mentioned previously.

Which is why I have the word Gothic in my name, I didn't know the difference them.
