I'm an oddball. but I admit it.

Where to begin? LOL. I'm an oddity no matter where I go or what community I'm a part of. A little background might help I guess.

I've always been a bit of a misfit and a loner. In my teenage years I bordered on goth and never really knew it. All of my friends were the oddballs who never really fit in with anyone else so we fit in with each other. Over the years I have evolved into quite a different creature. I am a happily married crossdresser who is just as happy as Heather as I am as Joe. I'm what I like to describe as gender fluid. My crossdressing has led me to a love of women's clothes to the point where I would rather wear womens clothes as a guy than men's. They just fit better and I love skirts! This led me to the next dilemma... How to wear the clothes that I love and not have everyone think I'm gay.

Then, one day I decided to try for a goth look after I made myself a gorgeous purple brocade corset. When I saw how I looked, I fell in love all over again. Since then, I have been flirting with the goth styles in girl mode and loved every one of them. Recently I told my wife that I wanted to go goth in guy mode too and she said "go for it". She used to be more goth in her younger days and loves the look. Now I find myself wearing eyeliner, black nail polish, etc. and feeling so much happier with myself. I think I have finally found the complete me.

My look tends to follow my mood. Some days I'm all girl and very average everyday looking, other days I break out the plaid mini skirt, funky boots, fishnets, and dark lipstick. Others I do almost the same thing as a guy. It seems weird in a way, but it suits me. A few years ago i adopted the attitude of "don't like the way I look, dont look."

I'm still trying to find the right styles that look good on me as a guy, but do have a pair of Demonia platform boots on their way. I guess that is why I signed on here in the first place, to try and find out what really suits me and my style.

An interesting fellow indeed, but welcome none the less, look around I do hope you stick around.

I enjoy you.

hehe I feel like I'm coming full circle and going back to my roots after about 15 years of trying other things. I'm here to learn and figure out just what really suits me. I already have lots of makeup experience so I get to play and know what i'm doing now. And I really love clothing that is a bit outside of the "norm".

You must be the first person in a long time that says something in the range of "I'm so weird/random/spontaneous/alternative/oddball" that can actually rightly say so.
Then again, you virtually only spoke about fashion, but it's still legitimate.

Point taken. I can honestly say that I have the mindset and attitude to back up the fashion statement. Actually though much of what I mentioned is not just about fashion. An example would be my crossdressing. I am a transgendered individual, so it is not just about fashion for me it is who and what I am. Yes, I am here mostly to figure out my sense of fashion and style but that is because I still don't know what really suits me. I'm not out to "play goth" because I think it would be a cool look. Sure, the goth sense of style has always intrigued me and to an extent my sense of style has reflected that for quite some time. I have only recently become in tune with the fact that at least a part of me is goth. I am here looking for fashion do's and don't because I do not want to be looked on as a poseur. I'm more of the goth that hasn't found my place yet.

Yar, you'll do well here. Welcome to the boards!

Just be yourself. If you happen to fit in here, that's cool, if you don't, that's also cool.

I think you'll do fine here though.

Welcome. I like to bend the gender lines a bunch (see picture thread for my extensive makeup) I love pants though. So yeah... welcome aboard, or a broad.

not really.. My tastes are so varied it depends on my mood. But if I had to narrow it in a little, I'm more of a New Orleans style Jazz (or blues) person really.
