Girl Troubles

Well it seems i've been fucked over AGAIN...

I've been talking to this girl alot, going out with her and all that, we got on really well...one day I told her how I felt about her...she didn't say much...
Next day was just like any other normal day...
Next day I decide i'm going to ask her out...I didn't see her that day so I couldn't.
So I see her nest day...i'm about to ask her out and she goes guess what?!
I HAVE A BOYFRIEND!
I'm stood there like..."...oh"
And she keeps going on and on and on about him not even stopping to consider how much it was hurting me...I nearly started to cry on the fucking spot...I felt completely numb and used.
It took her about 2 hours too realise how upset I was and she asks if i'm ok.
And this is where I lost my temper...I didn't shout or anything but it was obvious I was pissed off...
I say "Well how do you think I feel?! You knew how much I fucking liked you and you don't even consider how your making me feel by going on about it..."
And it all went weird from there and i'm not gonna get into it anymore...
I don't talk to her much anymore...
I get the feeling she was just fucking with my head or she wouldn't have gone on about her boyfiend...

Did I mention her boyfriend is a complete asshole?
He's been an asshole to her for ages but she still liked him (i'll never know why)
I get the feeling he's going to hurt her...in which case...he will suffer an agonising death :)
But then I think, if she fucked with my head maybe I should just let it happen...
What should I do?
Honestly I still really like her :(
Should I just move on like I did Emily?

Godslayer Jillian 06-21-2008 12:40 PM

Move on. I've had similar incidents myself. Just recently a girl I liked invited me to an art exhibition where two of her pictures were being shown.
She told me I had to go. I go, she introduced me to her friends, and one of the guys I believe she said "this is my boyfriend". Unfortunately I have bad hearing so I still have no idea if she said that. They, however, went everywhere together, and when they were close to me, she was careful to hint at affection, holding his hand, laughing at what he said, cuddling with his arm...
I didn't cry, I just said to myself "this was more than just to see her photos", I declared my day pointlessly wasted, and told her I had to leave.
Worst thing of all this is that there was this gorgeous girl I didn't dare to talk to because I didn't know how my friend would take it.

The point of this story is to see if you can feel I can relate to you. My friend wasn't trying to play me, and just as well your girl probably wasn't trying to play with you. It's just that from all the scenarios they could choose, for some idiotic reason they believe this is the best course of action. It's not true that women are complicated. Some are just dumb, some are contradictory, and the truly magnificent ones with more than one dimension don't pride themselves in being incomprehensible.

Metabolik 06-21-2008 12:48 PM

Yes it relates :(
I'm just going to move on then...
plenty of fish in the sea and all that shit...
Or maybe i'll just throw my fishing licence away :)

In My humble opinion, forget dating. Just jettison it out of your mind. I can't really explain it, so I'm not going to try, but it makes girls notice you alot more.

That doesn't mean start trying once they do notice you, just let things happen naturally. Weather you two care for each other or not, you'll have no real hardset painful emotions invested into starting a relationship.

HA! I think both genders/ all sexualities have it pretty shitty, in all honesty...

Metabolik 06-21-2008 01:18 PM

That's true I guess lol

I Am Great. 06-21-2008 02:15 PM

Nope, I'm the epitome of awesomeness.

Toy Killer 06-21-2008 02:19 PM

Epitome? You're as bad as it gets when it comes to awesomness?

I Am Great. 06-21-2008 02:22 PM

e·pit·o·me [i-pit-uh-mee]

–noun

1. A person or thing that is typical of or possesses to a high degree the features of a whole class: "He is the epitome of goodness."

Toy Killer 06-21-2008 02:29 PM

Touche, my bad.

My english teacher in highschool explained it to me as being a pretty negative thing, like "the war reached it's epitome when 30,000 innocenct townsfolk were slaughtered."

Damn it, I've been using it wrong for the last 4 years...

I Am Great. 06-21-2008 02:32 PM

Well now you know.

honeythorn 06-21-2008 02:53 PM

Are you sure she said epitome? not Apex or Climax or something?

Toy Killer 06-21-2008 03:03 PM

Pretty sure, because I've been correcting it since, like just now.

I'm a pretty big dick, people trust me with this lititure and vocabulary stuff and I've been leading them wrong... Oops...

Mir 06-21-2008 03:24 PM

It's funny how most of us don't ever bother with a dictionary.

I Am Great. 06-21-2008 03:32 PM

They're good door stops.

I think... there's no point in ever expecting monogamy, mate. I'm not a swinger, but the more you expect something to be exclusive, the harder you're going to be disappointed when it doesn't work that way.

99% of the time, it wont work that way. Met, I'm sorry man, but before it's all said and done, you'll have a heart of leather.

Mir 06-21-2008 03:46 PM

I'll actually agree with that. It is certainly true from my own personal experience. In retrospect, the relationships I never thought to be monogamous turned out to be just so. Ironic.

KontanKarite 06-21-2008 04:02 PM

Well... there are those exceptions. Hence the 99% part.

Solumina 06-21-2008 07:31 PM

Here is the really shitty part about some chicks (I say chicks cuz I have never witnessed a guy do this): she has a boyfriend that she thinks is hot but he treats her like crap so they find a guy friend, lead him on, and get him to do all of the "boyfriend" things that her actual boyfriend wont do (such as taking her out to the movies and buying her gifts). It is a really sucky thing to do, but I have seen it happen quite a lot.

Toy Killer 06-21-2008 07:34 PM

oh, shit...

I never thought I see a woman admit that women do that!

Now, in all honesty, do women ever lead guys to fight over them?

KontanKarite 06-21-2008 07:37 PM

Toy, I think it's human nature to find validation from other people. It's not that they really want to start fights, they just want to know that their mate gives a shit. Bad thing is, this is the kind of shit that makes relationships die.

Oh yeah, I had a few friends back in high school who just loved having guys fight over them, they didn't care why, they just loved the attention, thankfully I don't still have those friends as they were also the type to start fights among our group of friends because it made them feel important.

On the positive side there are actual decent girls out there who don't do either of those things
