Shopping
Where is your favorite place to shop for goth clothes? :)
(and yes i have introduced myself in the introduction thread) |
You have twelve posts. One would assume that you've been directed there already.
I shop at Hot Topic (shudder,) department stores, and thrift shops. |
I get most of my clothes from thrift stores. I also find a surprising amount of good clothes at garage sales, even though I don't go that often. The rest of my clothes are usually given to me or bought from department stores. Hot Topic never really interested me.

I shop... at alot of places. Department stores, thrift shops, the usual. Shockingly, Old Navy has some good stuff!
|
Ah, Kendra...The same girl that asked about poseur goths.
I do my shopping at a random hardware store, then I raid Toys R Us, then I go to Supre, for cheap and easily fixable clothes. And at home, using my multiple tools, I combine all the elements and make my clothes! |
Like Robin Hood! But... greedier...
|
Hot Topic...hehe
dont worry I have better tastes then to buy this whole goth costume or a green day t-shirt though ;) |

Sometimes I guy shopping with friends and buy things at mainstream shops. As long as it looks nice and isn't too expensive. Looking goth is all about combining the right things in the right ways anyway.
There are a few gothic shops in Belgium, but they mostly carry Laughing Vampire and Sinister. And seeing how I'm not one for cheap-looking velvet, I hardly ever go there. I make some of my clothes myself, though only skirts at the moment, really. I also tend to buy a lot of things at online shops. I have links to many many online shops on my website, if you're interested. |
I know I'm repeating myself again but you're really pretty.
I'm also not a fan with "cheap looking" velvet. In terms of shopping, I'm not a loyal shopper who sticks to certain shops. I like to buy things, not because it's in fashion, but because I actually like the item and will wear it out. My shopping skills caters me very well as for so many years, it is very rare that I'll walk down the street and needing to avoid a person wearing the same top. |
I make my own clothes, or I order them offline. Sometimes I go to thrift shops, but I read a story about a girl who got crabs from a pair of pants. So, ya know...thats scary. if you go to http://www.subculturearray.com/ they have some good clothes, but its expensive. Also, http://www.findcoolclothes.com/ has mostly punk rock clothes, but they have some gothic stuff.

I must thank you for boosting my self-esteem, actually, it's been a long day, and kind words are always welcome. |
Well, like I said in another post, I buy my clothes in tents that are located in market places (no, not malls). But I also buy some things at clothing stores here. And the "accesories" (I think that's how you write it). I buy them in the street, from people that sells a lot of jewelry, belts, necklaces, etc.

I shop a lot in charity shops and markets. I get some stuff from websites, but most of that is overpriced.
or I attempt to make my own stuff with minimal success. |
