Jesus fucking Christ! Mother FUCK the Dems!

Kind of old news. But something to think about.

And so it begins. The dogs of war are always hungry. The Military-Industrial Complex will spend more cash and blood stemming from the fear mongering politicians.

You're surprised by the fact that there are Democrats that support war? These days, all the Democrat party is is Republican Lite.

You would be surprised at the number of right-wingers who have made their way into the democratic party since bush started losing power.

There is lieberman, who the dems kicked out once they realised he was a right-wing republican in disguise. I'll have to Google it, but there have been 3-4 other high profile cases like this where people who were republicans or 'independents' who normally for years claimed to be middle of the road sorts have sold out and become tools of various industries that are connected with the republicans, in effect causing them to become, or at least appear, to be right-wing republican conservatives.

I don't think they are by any means like 'sleeper' republicans. They are middle of the road types who get offered lots of money by various lobbying groups which then changes they way they vote and what they feel is important.

At the end of the day, supporting the people, socialised medicine, etc. is a very noble cause. However, wave a few hundred thousand in a politicians face and many forget what it was they were put there to do.

Not likely, most of them aren't swayed by anything less than a mill.

Godslayer Jillian 07-21-2008 02:34 AM

This reminds me, unless there's a genuinely good president with a real chance of winning against all other jokes in 2012, I'm planning to start a campaign.

Anyone that doesn't want to vote because they don't like the candidates, or they don't feel their vote will make a difference, or other excuses, ought to vote for the communist party!
That'll send them a message. The communist party wouldn't win anyway, but that's the idea; that we all vote for the 'worst' party for the average patriot, making them have an unusual amount of votes.

Who's with me? I know it's in four years, so let's see if we remember each other and this, but that would be a kickass campaign.

Solumina 07-21-2008 02:38 AM

Sure if there are two equally sucky choices I'll vote communist, why not?

Wouldn't the worst be the Nazi party? Or something equally hateful?

KontanKarite 07-21-2008 03:01 AM

Fuck it. I'll vote communist in the next four years. OR, we could all continue to vote republican until the US becomes a third world country. :-/

...whatev.

Solumina 07-21-2008 03:05 AM

Hey do you think that if the US became a third world country that Bill Gates would send us billions of dollars like he does to other countries?

I think he means it as in the way that America hates communism with a zealous passion.

Godslayer Jillian 07-21-2008 12:31 PM

That's one of three reasons. Another reason is that in the sixties, the baby boomers that rebelled were borderline Marxist. So it brings up a whisper that says the sixties are still potentially there.
Also, the Nazi party is not actually written in the ballot already. However, most ballot forms already have the communist party as an option to checkmark, next to the socialist and green parties in many states.

Deadmanwalking_05 08-10-2008 07:03 AM

Personaly I would support a third party wedge in our government, you know, somebody to keep the other two sides on their toes, and minding their P's and Q's so to speak.

KontanKarite 08-10-2008 11:26 AM

A third party isn't good enough. Especially when the reality of it is that party participation is an illusion. A third party WILL NOT CARE about you. They'll care about the numbers. They'll care about the money.

I understand why Jillian is saying all those who don't vote should vote Communist.

Deadmanwalking_05 08-10-2008 11:47 AM

How did you reach this conclusion? I think a third party would be the best bet the American people have against the nanny state, and big business.

Because if you think about it for the last twelve years the American public have been duped into this two party red state, blue state,Us vs. Them mentality ,they have done just as Mr. Biafra told us they would do in due time. and Communisim is just like the arugument for Anarchy ,both look good on paper but just as with everything else both have a fatal flaw....HUMAN FUCKING BEINGS.

Deadmanwalking_05 08-10-2008 12:02 PM

Besides you just suggested a Third party.

Ok, man. Human beings... Look, Anarchy. Well, let me ask you this: If you were to mind your own business and worry about your own actions, would YOU personally need a law or police state to tell you how to conduct yourself?

Yes, I did suggest a third party. There are third parties. But ultimately, I think, if we HAVE to play this republic democracy game, there shouldn't be parties. If you're going to suggest that a third party would really be such a good thing, then I would suggest a fourth and a fifth. Hell, I would suggest a million more parties.

If you really want to know what I think, I feel we should vote for the WORST POSSIBLE CANDIDATE. Every single time. No matter what. I know that sounds down right daft and crazy, but the big picture is, as manipulative as it sounds, it would eventually put the people in a position to actually DO something.

Deadmanwalking_05 08-10-2008 03:14 PM

Yeah but if you took it that far it wouldn't really be any use, sooner or later it would rinder it's self useless and caught up by too much red tape, and nothing would get done, you could cause anarchy for a small while.

And I'm a "Lawabiding" person but what about the unsavory characters that might see me or a loved one as a target?

In the absence of law,it would be right back to square one where it's the individual having to defend himself, survival of the fittest.

You can't expect shit like that. Look, you're talking to anarchists. Don't tell an anarchist that anarchy wont work. You may as well say that I'm not capable of governing my own actions and it insults my intelligence.

That is something only someone too obsessed with individualism would say. And this is the reason why anarchism and communism have less grip in western society while they seem more plausible to the majority of the world.
Ask a latino if without law it would just be each man for himself, and he'll tell you that the family will still teach order and harmony to its children.

KontanKarite 08-10-2008 03:23 PM

Let's not even get started on the fact that the police are nothing but a reactionary force. They don't protect you. They react. You say people would be blood thirsty mad men without law, well laws are broken thousands and hundreds of times a day. Law means shit when the laws are always broken.

Stop assuming people are inherently evil and try your best to understand why bad shit actually happens. You seriously can't believe that all crime is a manifestation of wanton pure evil every time. And when it IS usually a manifestation of pure evil, it's because that person is SERIOUSLY insane.

LaBelleDameSansMerci 08-10-2008 05:44 PM

And serious insanity of that kind is pretty rare.

I think Western Society needs to calm down a bit about the whole anarchism and communism thing. The general public is more afraid of it than they need to be, and I think government and corporate propaganda has a lot to do with it. Corporations would not want to lose their position of power, which they would if everyone went communist.

Also, don't forget there are other kinds of corruption and "evil" than murder, r.ape and theft. Fewer people are immune to that kind than to the random homicide kind.

Edit: Wait... we could probably make people more immune to it in a generation or two if we taught our kids right. Teach them not to offer it and teach them not to accept it.

Deadmanwalking_05 08-10-2008 06:04 PM

I wasn't talking about you as a person I was saying the other son of a bitch might not see things the way you do,and I wasn't attacking I was stating my opinion.

Did I say that It wouldn't work on an Individual level?

No I was saying that if everything ground to a halt as far as law and order, some bastard somewhere will fuck things up sooner or later.

And while it has a very good chance to work it has the same probablity of not working.

Exactly. But the people that own this country doesn't want critical thinkers as its citizens. They only want you to be smart enough to keep production going.

There DOES need to be a kind of intellectual revolution for the youth. Imagine if private and public schools taught reason and critical thinking along with math, English, and science. Imagine teaching our kids that we can't determine if people are inherently evil or good, but it's not a good enough reason to be afraid of each other.

Look man... You can't dwell on trying to control others. What makes you think that just because YOU don't need laws to keep you in line that you're some how special or better than everyone else? Everyone else is just as capable of not being an evil fuck as you are. Your benevolence, tolerance, and willing to be self governing is NOT some kind of moral oddity. You're NOT that unique.

You believe you don't need rules to run your life. Well, extend some courtesy, don't be an asshole, and have a little faith in others. They can do it too.
