I keep hearing (from teenage friends) that their breasts grew after they started taking birth control. Has anyone here had that experience as well?
Strange question I know, but bare with me.

Never took birth control, but it sounds highly possible that their breasts grew after taking it. It messes with your hormones big time.

It can make them grow a bit (some girls go up and entire cup size others just become slightly fuller), doesn't happen for everyone though.

When I went on it I was still growing anyway so I didn't notice anything, my roommate from freshman year, however, had been a B since 10th grade and she was a full C after being on the pill for about four months

Not really. I have been on birth control since I was 15... It helped with many things, but the boobs stayed the same.

Second, like most people said, it can make your breasts grow. However, this is because it's common for women to put on weight while on birth control. So it's likely that if your breasts grow, so will your thighs and stomach.

Yeah actually a few of my irl friends gained in breast size and they are still skinny. So I disagree.

Well, that could be conducive to metabolism as well.

Metabolism and genetics. Some things just aren't in the cards. Ya know?

OH that's why mine grew! Hmm never thought it was the pill. Damn! if i had known I wouldn't have taken it! I hate the size of my boobs. *lack of self confidence sinks in again* T_T

If you just disagree with what someone says if you don't like it, why even ask?

Also, hate to burst your bubble, but you may be flat chested even with the birth control, because it doesn't affect everyone the same way, and you don't sound like your body is inclined to gain breast tissue.

You just have to wait and see.

No I'm disagreeing because that's what happened to my friends who I'm using as an example.

Right, but that's not how it works.
Any good gynecologist will tell you that even if you know 100 women who were all affected the same way by a kind of birth control, it doesn't tell you anything about how YOU will be affected.

Don't discourage me gawd. I have a feeling it will work and it seems to have already made a slight difference. You can't know it won't work for me over reading my posts. Plus enough girls of all different body types and nationalities have told me it has worked for them, so there is a GOOD chance it will. Not saying it will rewrite genetics, but it may just give a developing body that extra push. I'm only 17.

There's a difference.
I don't like talking to you because if someone doesn't like something you like, they're stuck up, and if someone answers your questions honestly and you don't like the answer, you get all pissy.

You don't like talking to me because you feel inferior, which I can understand, as I have DD tits and I know how to read.

I don't feel inferior, I'm just pissy atm.

Be adviced though that it might have the opposite effect too, and reduce growth in a developing body. Less chance of it, ofcourse, but the possibility is still there.

Why on earth would they prescribe them to teens at youth centers then?

Because it's better to have stunted growth than to be knocked up.

I've been on the pill for years and it did nothing for my breasts. I'm still an A. I love the pill personally, because yay! no more periods.

I've heard sooo many horror stories of ppl taking the pil and having really bad side effects...

or becoming infertile even after they stop taking it...

Just get one of those water bra thingies (sp?)...
