Dungeons and Dragons

I know, I'm a huge fucking nerd, but what can I say? Dungeons and Dragons is fun!

Does anyone here play Dungeons and Dragons or Other Role Play games? For instance I also play Shadowrun and Call of Cthulhu.

SKULHEDFACE 12-12-2008 11:10 PM

Yes, I do. The folks in our group have mentioned Shadowrun and Call of Cthulhu on numerous occasions. We've played DND 3.5 and 4.0, Chill, Traveller, Blood of Heroes and tried the Warhammer tabletop game.

We're currently playing a Steampunk themed campaign using D20 Modern and Past with a lot of house rules in play.

Sanguine Mind 12-13-2008 04:39 PM

Cool. I've been wanting to play a Semi-Steampunk Campaign for a while. My group is planing on using Standard Dungeons and Dragons rules. But implementing some Rules for Bombs, Flintlock pistols, Vehicles Ect.

So it'll be set in Steampunk type place, But it'll have Elves, Dwarfs, Halflings, Gnomes and various Monsters.

Runescape, Maid Marion (kind of pointless though)...

Acually I was talking about Table top Roleplay games.

MegearaErotica 12-13-2008 07:25 PM

Oh, sorry. I thought you meant roleplaying in general...

I would venture that you did, since you you seem to be spiteful of that particular act.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

SKULHEDFACE 12-13-2008 08:59 PM

I never got my ass kicked in high school, or ever for that matter. Not that i'm bragging..I've only ever gotten into one fight.

The Brooding One 12-13-2008 10:42 PM

^^^ I call bullshit.

SKULHEDFACE 12-13-2008 10:59 PM

You can believe whatever you like. I've been called several things in high school but people never got aggressive or violent with me. I'm not a frail nerd either mind you.

Dungeons and Dragons ain't my style. I stuck to Warhammer 40k for awhile. So damn expensive though. If I had extra money laying around these days I'd take a swing at Battlefleet Gothic.

Dragoness2071 12-15-2008 10:09 PM

I love Dungeons and Dragons! :D My brother and I used to play it all the time~
Right now I'm more of a Final Fantasy nerd, haha.

My brother plays Warhammer 40k. Yeah...it's expensive, lol.

I've played it a few times as the Necrons and died...horribly.

And the worst part is my brother was playing as the orcs :p.

I have an interest in learning to play but the sheer mass of what it can be is somewhat daunting and off-putting, I don't have to be the guy who is spoon fed through a campaign or has to lean over to someone next to me and whisper questions, mostly 'cause I wouldn't want to annoy the group not because I'm embarrassed to be inexperienced.

Tam Li Hua 12-17-2008 08:48 AM

I tried to play, but I just couldn't get into it; all the dice rolling and such confused me.

I prefer World of Warcraft, where I can just go online and kill virtual animals and people until I'm sick of it. ^__^

stolide 12-17-2008 12:46 PM

I play dnd every week. 3.5 only. I used to play 40k but I'm not rolling in money so...

FairyGarland 01-06-2009 12:20 AM

I have a DND starter kit and I've played a few times but by making up some of the rules 'cos they were a bit confusing in parts.
