I Love it When....
 

ok, so here's an idea: what are some of the average, ordinary, everyday things that happen that just put a smile on your face? things that get you through the day, or make your week, or that are really cool to probably no one else but you?

i'm not talking about things like, "i love it when he touches me there" or "i love it when she does that thing with her tongue". we uh already have a thread for that, i think.


they can be mundane things that please you. for instance:

i love it when i have the exact amount of quarters to do ALL of my laundry at once. that way i don't have to choose what really needs to be washed, then have piles of clothes lying around until payday.

i love it when all of the traffic lights on my route are green.

i love it when i pick the fastest-moving lane at the bank drive-thru.


they can be snarky things like:

i love it when people try to pin labels on me that they really should be pinning on themselves.

i love it when i toss an insult or quip at someone that leaves him/her speechless.


or they can even be somewhat personal or mildly sappy:

i love it when i stop in my kids' room on my way up to bed and, even though they've been asleep for hours, they smile a sweet little sleepy smile when i kiss them on the cheek & tell them "good night".

i love it when urian brings me home a soda without asking, just because he knows i probably want one.



there's tons more, but i think that's a pretty good start for now.


so what are the silly, run-of-the-mill, or just plain.... well, plain things that, even though they probably make you feel like a dork for doing so, you still love anyway?

I love it when my teachers tell me I've done a good job.
I love it when I make a great grade on a test that I studied all night for.
I love it when we have Spagetti for dinner, because I love garlic bread.
I love it when my cat meows outside my bedroom window in the morning, waiting to be fed.
I love it when I get mail.
I love it when I have a good hair day.
I love it when my eyeliner smudges.
I love it when my nailpolish chips.
I love it when my earrings go in easily.
I love it when a song downloads faster than usual.
I love it when it rains.

Can't think of anymore at the moment.

I love it when my make-up and hair looks good for the day.

I love it when I wake up and both dogs are curled up next to me sleeping.

I love it when I buy a shirt and don't try it on at the store and when I wear it for the first time it's a perfect fit.

I love it when things go smoothly at work.

I love it when I'm debating someone and I manage to put all the right words to together to prove my point.

I love it when the pink in my hair doesn't fade as much.

I love it when everyone at work leaves so I'm alone and can listen to music as loud as I want.

I love it when I have a little extra cash and I can buy something for me without feeling guilty.

I love it when my cat hugs me.

I love it when my boyfriend gets me chocolate even though I am worried about getting chubby, and says that I'll always look beautiful.

I love it when I know I'm providing a good home for my pets, and see them content and happy.

I love it when I am able to cheer up my boyfriend when he is feeling bad about something.

I love it when I get around to cleaning my room, and everything looks clean and nice.

I love it when my husband wakes me up in the middle of the night to hear the new song he's written.
I love it when I can smell the age of my house through all of the new wood and paint.
I love it when my band hits a harmony that makes us all break out in goose bumps.
I love it when the CD changer spits up the perfect song to match my mood.

I love it when I see an emo kid crying.

Instant good mood.

I love it when a plan comes together.

I really love it when my teacher's decide not to check homework on a day I haven't done it.

I love it when I get to go out with my friends.

I love it when I wake up and feel really well rested and ready to tackle another day.

I love it when I get to talk to my best friend... who I haven't spoken to in forever.

I love it when my teacher understands when I need to take a sick day.

I love it when my best friend hugs me and plays with my hair.

I love it when you are the only one up front (out of 4) and there is a line to the door and out... and yet, you still get no help.

I love it when I get a phone call that I was not expecting, and I can hear the smile in the other person's voice when they realize it's you.

I love it when you can truly love someone and watch them move on and be happy... and have them still love you, and you them. And them be happy for you and vice versa.

I love it when your smile and posture turn out just right in the one picture you never would have expected it to.

This is all I can think of for now.

I love it when I rediscover a band or song that I love, or when I discover a new one.
I love it when my art works.
I love it when someone says something nice about me to my face.

I love the smell after the rain.
I love when I find a £5 in my coat pocket I had forgotten about.
I love pink drinks with black umbrellas and straws in them.

I love it when my skin feels so unbelievably soft.

I love it when I'm wearing perfume.

I love it when I'm at a club, drinking and smoking like I don't give a fuck, and for the time being nothing else matters, and reality seems blurry.

I love it when I'm having a wild passionate fuck.

I love it when I walk my dog.

I love it when I'm eating chocolate and listening to music.

I love it when I've been told that I've had a huge impact in their life or that I've helped them feel better about themselves.

I love it when I feel mentally strong, when my fears seem invisible, and I can face the world, with confidence.

i love it when i don't wake up with nausea.

I love lying on my bedroom floor with the lights out listening to Evanescence in the dark.

I love getting cuddles and kisses off my two-year-old nephew.

I love watching my nephew sleep in his cot bed.

I love it at the end of the day when I can sit and draw for hours on end.

I love walking to the bus stop every morning with the freezing cold air stabbing at my face.

I love it when my 2 year-old says, "I wub you".

I love it when my children open a gift, and it's exactly what they wanted.

I love it when I hear a favorite song I haven't heard in a long time.

I love it when my students walk across the stage at graduation.

I love it when my wife strokes my back or kisses my cheek.

There are more, to be sure, but this is a start.

I love it when my boyfriend laughs.

I love it when I can go a whole day without hating myself.

I love it when the sun is shining and the air is cool.

I love it when my skin is clear.

I love it when I can let things go.

I love it when I'm not too scared to hope.

i love it when my wife holds the light of love and / or lust in her eyes.

i love it when the warmth of my children is pressed against me in a hug.

i love it when i can smell my kids.

i love it when i experience that first jolt of a whiskey-fueled buzz.

i love it when a soft breast with a hard nipple sweeps across my lips.

i love it when my wife cums and it makes her ravenous to please me - especially when i can see that in her eyes.

I love it when my cat pays attention to me without a purpose.
I love it that my boyfriend gets angry when I can't see him.
I love it that I know what he's thinking.
I love knowing I only have to deal with 80 hour weeks until May.

I love it when the customer realizes they are wrong.
I love it when my fiance unexpectedly brings me food at work.
I love it when my brother tells me he loves me.
I love it when I realize (over and over again) how supportive and loving my grandparents are.
