The Greatest Magic Trick Ever Played

Actually, revised version of poems I had started long ago, most hopefully for your reading pleasure!

The Greatest Magic Trick Ever Played

consumed by consumption
possessed, the possessors
go stalking for something to swallow;
still searching for something
to satisfy hunger
and fill the regrettable hollow.
no object or human
or feeling or thought
can cure their maddened disease;
dependent upon
unending unease
leaves nothing to them but to follow.

It sounds all around nice, but doesn't really roll off the tonge, but still it's attention holding.
