http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FehBgQeVKFQ

La la la, la la la la la
La la la, la la la la la(repeat twice)

Oh baby baby have you seen Amy tonight?
Is she in the bathroom is she smokin' up outside? Oh
Oh baby baby does she take a piece of lime
For the drink that I'm a buy her do you know just what she likes? Oh

Oh oh, tell me have you seen her? cause I'm so oh
I can't get her off of my brain
I just want to go to the party she gon' go
Can somebody take me home?
Ha ha, he he, ha ha, ho

LOVE ME, HATE ME, SAY WHAT YOU WANT ABOUT ME
BUT ALL OF THE BOYS AND ALL OF THE GIRLS ARE BEGGING TO IF YOU SEEK AMY
LOVE ME, HATE ME, BUT CAN'T YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?
ALL OF THE BOYS AND ALL OF THE GIRLS ARE BEGGING TO IF YOU SEEK AMY

(love me, hate me)
La la la, la la la la la
La la la, la la la la la

Amy told me that she's gonna meet me up
I don't know where or when and now they're closing up the club, oh
I've seen her once or twice before she knows my face
But it's hard to see with all the people standing in the way, oh

Oh oh, tell me have you seen her, cause I'm so oh
I can't get her off of my brain
I just want to go to the party she gon' go
Can somebody take me home?
Ha ha, he he, ha ha ho

LOVE ME, HATE ME, SAY WHAT YOU WANT ABOUT ME
BUT ALL OF THE BOYS AND ALL OF THE GIRLS ARE BEGGING TO IF YOU SEEK AMY
LOVE ME, HATE ME, BUT CAN'T YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?
ALL OF THE BOYS AND ALL OF THE GIRLS ARE BEGGING TO IF YOU SEEK AMY
OH, SAY WHAT YOU WANT ABOUT ME?
Oh, but can't you see what I see?
(Love me Hate me)
Oh, say what you want about me?
La la la, la la la la la

So tell me if you see her
(let me know what she was wearin, yeah, and what she was like)
'Cause I've been waiting here forever
(let me know what she was goin out of mind)
Oh baby baby if you seek Amy tonight
Oh baby baby we'll do whatever you like
Oh baby baby baby
Oh baby baby baby

La la la, la la la la la
La la la, la la la la la
(repeat 2x)

LOVE ME, HATE ME, SAY WHAT YOU WANT ABOUT ME
BUT ALL OF THE BOYS AND ALL OF THE GIRLS ARE BEGGING TO IF YOU SEEK AMY
LOVE ME, HATE ME, BUT CAN'T YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?
ALL OF THE BOYS AND ALL OF THE GIRLS ARE BEGGING TO IF YOU SEEK AMY

(yeah)
la la la, la la la la

LOVE ME, HATE ME, SAY WHAT YOU WANT ABOUT ME

(Love me hate me)
Oh, say what you want about me?
Oh, but can't you see what I see?
(Love me hate me)
Oh, say what you want about me?
All of the boys and all of the girls are begging to if you seek Amy.

Is this the appropriate forum for this particular post, Miss Louise?

Unimatrix 00 04-17-2009 07:34 AM

Hehehehe probably not, but sometimes I like to present music to you guys that you wouldn't think of listening to! But you may like.

I am goth but my music tastes are so diverse.

How are you HavelockV?

x

Desdemona 04-17-2009 08:10 AM

This is NOT fashion.
This is MUSIC.

Well...that's debatable actually.

Having diverse tastes in music and attempting to introduce others to different musical genres is all well and good, but you would probably have found a more receptive audience in the Music subforum. Then again, considering the performer, I would not anticipate a positive response to be elicited from any part of this community.

In any case, I am tolerably well, and I thank you for asking. I am just getting over a bit of a cold that picked up last weekend, but am almost completely recovered. I do hope you are doing well, though if your posts are any indication, you are your usual exuberent self.

Unimatrix 00 04-17-2009 08:47 AM

Hehehehe yes it was an accident I posted it in fashion. *mods plz move this*.

Aw well I just hope you're getting better bby.

And yes!! I'm my usually bouncy self hehe.

I love Britney.

RozzVanian 04-18-2009 07:48 PM

I love Christina more! But mostly just aesthetically. She's really looked good lately, compared to how awful she used to look...

KontanKarite 04-20-2009 05:22 PM

Old Madonna. Better than this.

You have the shittiest taste in music.

Jazz, Ska, Soul, Punk, Afro-Beat, Latin Rock, Hip-Hop, Pop, Psychedelic, Indian Classical.

You probably have narrow tastes in music in comparison and yet I manage to listen only to music that has substance.

Unimatrix 00 04-22-2009 09:27 AM

Shut up with your arrogance, nobody wants to hear it.

I have an extremely broad taste in music. Just because I like britney doesn't mean I don't love music "with substance". I love sisters of Mercy, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Sex Pistols, :wumpscut: etc.

Malice In Wonderland 04-22-2009 09:34 AM

The Sex Pistols don't have substance.
Unless you call being a marketing tool substance...

Unimatrix 00 04-22-2009 10:41 AM

And darling who asked you?

Malice In Wonderland 04-22-2009 10:51 AM

No one asked me you patronising bag of cat shit.
I decided I'd correct you.
You seem to need it rather a lot.

Unimatrix 00 04-22-2009 12:05 PM

Well in future, please keep your trap shut. Your input is not wanted.

Malice In Wonderland 04-22-2009 12:09 PM

No.
Yeah, as if that was gonna work.

Necromance 04-22-2009 10:28 PM

Sorry, well, maybe not...however, Britney is bottom of the barrel slut garbage. I can't stand her parading around in belly baring shirts with her silcone tits hanging out. If I had kids, I'd rather them emulate Hanna Montana. Her voice and music suck, but atleast she has some modesty, and would be a much better role model than that brainless harlot.

CrimsonPythonidae 04-22-2009 11:29 PM

Of course. Same old shit from Britney.

Neither is yours. See the hypocrisy?
Of course, you'll just ignore the fact that you're an open hypocrite and just insult us, because you're that goddamn predictable.

Jillian, do you listen to any folk or reggae? I'm just starting to get into these two forms of music and have found that there is a lot of insight in some of their lyrics.

As to the OP, I hate Britney Spears in many ways, but she also did something I admire, though I doubt she had any awareness of the meaning of her actions she performed them.

I'm speaking, of course, of the shaved head episode.

Britney Spears was prepped from age 7 to be in the public spotlight in some way; it's just a shame she had to waste it by promoting a misogynistic and patriarchal system that renders female expression in society--apart from their assigned tasks as sex toys and baby-makers--completely stigmatized. This is what she sells to little girls who are just figuring out how their body works: that their body is what makes them valuable, and if they aren't pretty like Britney, they'll never get to be rich and famous and live in a big mansion with the best boyfriend. This is the new (old) female American Dream.

So imagine my surprise, and budding admiration, when Britney cut herself from her symbolic bonds and wore in public the one hairstyle that is still a big no-no for decent, mild-mannered western women: a shaved head. Of course, everyone thought she had lost her mind, and began to ask questions like: How do I explain this to my children? And, what kind of example is she setting? I, for one, find it ironic that it was only after Britney stopped letting herself get used like a tool that parents thought she was an unacceptable role model. After all, we wouldn't want our kids to grow up to be intelligent, multifaceted, capable human beings. That's far too much pressure for America's daughters. Far better for them to go watch "Hit me baby one more time," one more time, and think about how to skank up their catholic school uniforms.

/sarcasm

Necromance 04-23-2009 01:46 AM

Well, now that I think about it, I like one Britney song. I cried to it years ago, because it reminded me of the abusive relationship I was in.

Ahsatan 04-23-2009 04:58 AM

Brittany is just sad, but I do have to admit I like a few of her songs, Toxic, being the best, but her as a person? Naw she's just a sad ratty old billboard.
Which song are you talking about?
